ableJ joins FURIA

FURIA Academy talent Rinaldo "⁠ableJ⁠" Moda Junior has been promoted to the organisation's main squad, it has been announced.

The 19-year-old has been moved up the ranks by FURIA to replace veteran Guilherme "⁠spacca⁠" Spacca, who parted ways with the team following their elimination from the ECS Challenger Cup at the hands of Gorilla Gang.

ableJ averaged a 1.23 rating in the last three months he spent with the academy roster, with his performances "drawing the attention of several teams", both nationally and internationally, according to FURIA.

The Brazilian side hope that ableJ's addition will revitalise the team, who raised eyebrows after reaching the final of the ZOTAC Cup Masters 2018 Americas Regional event after beating Complexity and eUnited. But after moving to Miami, the team seemingly hit a brick wall, eventually dropping to 80th in the ranking in September.

"We are tremendously happy to have found a player with such quality on our academy team," said FURIA owner Jaime Padua.

"Those who follow the scene know how hard it is to replace top players. As such, our efforts with our academy team have borne great fruits.

"Moreover, the fact that ableJ is already part of the organisation allows us to know him better as a player and as an athlete, minimising the risks of these changes."

Leo_Drunky showed good performances against tier1-2 EU/NA. Nor do trashk or kkkkkscerato. Brazilians just overhyped them because they can’t deal with a shit scene that only one good and another decent team. Trk and kscerato don’t have any future and will never achieve anything, I doubt they will even be at a Major. Bookmark.

In some month of practice with the actual MIBR (including tarik and YnK), they manage to top 4 on Major and lost to Astralis only in third map 14-16.

i know this, i'm not saying they r bad, ofc not. they are major champion, but i put so much faith in a full brazilian squad with motivated young talents

All of there players are good and some like yuurih, ablej & kscerato really looked insane statisticly. They will rise to a TOP30 level i guess, i don't see them loosing to any NA team exept the big dogs. They can be TOP5 NA.

agreed this change makes FURIA a team that truly has nutty fire power. Now it´s up to guerri to make all these young players work together without toxicity and have solid tactics that makes use of their firepower.

Spacca was losing most of his awp duels, which was putting furia constantly in 4x5's. Art is a very good awper and ableJ is a monster, my only concern is art losing his agressiveness due to fulltime awping. In this case, yuurih will have to entry many more times

Finally. This is an excellent move in multiple ways. Needless to say that spacca was a dead weight in the team, but ableJ is the next big AWPer in BR and he's just so much better than Spacca with the big green. Oh and finally hltv has changed his id to ableJ. ablej9 was too bad LUL

He was more efficient than fra with the awp (at least in the 4 or 5 games I watched). arT is decent but he's like nitr0 in Liquid: main rifler who's not a bad awper but not very capable either. We will see of course... but I think he filled in Spacca's shoes to embrace to same role. EDIT: There's a chance that what I saw from him was just temporary and he isn't as much of a good awper as I maybe make it seem...
