MIBR qualify for ECS Season 6

MIBR have secured the final slot in ECS Season 6's North American division after beating Gorilla Gang 2-0 (16-6 on Cache and 16-9 on Mirage) in the Challenger Cup's lower bracket final.

With Complexity and AZIO already through to ECS after it was revealed that SK Gaming had forfeited their spot in the league, MIBR and Gorilla Gang duked it out in the lower bracket final for the final ticket to FACEIT's competition.

The best-of-three grand final kicked off on MIBR's map pick, Cache, where Gabriel "⁠FalleN⁠" Toledo and his men got off to a blazing 9-0 start. Gorilla Gang finally made their mark in the following round, but MIBR wasted no time responding and closed out the half with a 12-3 lead.

FalleN & co. make their way back into ECS

In the second half, Cameron "⁠cam⁠" Kern and Ryan "⁠ryann⁠" Welsh came out swinging to claim the T pistol and the following anti-ecos, cutting their deficit in half (6-12). But MIBR picked themselves up and fired back, locking down the next four rounds to secure the 16-6 map victory.

The series then moved to Mirage. Gorilla Gang came out the brighter of the two sides to win the pistol, but MIBR swiftly got back into the thick of things in the following eco, before racking up four more to make it 5-1, but the rest of the half was a highly-contested affair, with the North Americans taking an 8-7 lead into the break.

The sides switched and so did the momentum, as MIBR came out in the second half with fire in their bellies, winning nine out of ten rounds to take map, 16-9, and the series to qualify for ECS Season 6.

They were top 1 but astralis was close in level. Notice how astralis has lost to teams like north and navi in its time of being 1. And gambit wasnt top 1 during the time of the major so astralis lost to them too

Probaly Liquid/MiBR are the winners, but as both cannot win T1 tourneaments I think they’ll just disband. But yeah, MiBR is improving, they were complete shit 3 months ago and now are solid tier1

Well, right now i see that Mibr can comfortably defeat teams like Faze, liquid, mouz or Nip. This is a solid t1 team, and I think nobody can take anything away from them. They almost won Blast against Astralis, just saying. Though i am not a fan of Mibr, i see this team improving day by day. Nowadays not many teams can take 1 map away from Astralis, you see?
