CyberZen win WESG 2018 China Finals
CyberZen have won the WESG 2018 China Regional Finals over ViCi in the grand final, becoming the first team to qualify for the global finals in March 2019.
The sixteen-team Chinese LAN competition took place in Suzhou from October 1-3, with several notable teams and players in attendance including the likes of TYLOO and 1.6 veteran RunBo "sakula" Wu in action for this specific event with NIRVANA.
On day one, TYLOO was sent home early after failing to make it out of their group, while fielding VAC banned player Quanqing "qz" Wu and Yue "AE" Yu as stand-ins. They defeated YQF, but lost to CyberZen and New4, who progressed on to the BO3 single-elimination playoffs.

CyberZen, who recently added Lei "bottle" Mao to their active roster, managed to cross out QiFang "Karsa" Su's EHOME in the quarter-finals and YuLun "Summer" Cai's Flash in the semis, 2-1.
Without their full strength in Andrew "kaze" Khong and WingHei "Freeman" Cheung, ViCi tried to make their situation work with their former QeeYou comrades Wei "Reaction" Peng and JunBen "MoriartyS" Lin. ViCi topped Group B undefeated and ran over New4 in the quarters and the Mongolian-less 5POWER in the semis, 2-0, respectively.
However, in the face of Bin "Savage" Liu's men and bottle stepping up to the plate in the grand final, ViCi did not deliver on Train, but displayed a stronger performance on Inferno, which went to all thirty rounds in favour of CyberZen being crowned as the eventual winners.
