mithR steps down from ALTERNATE aTTaX

Torbjørn "⁠mithR⁠" Nyborg is no longer part of ALTERNATE aTTaX's roster, the Danish coach has revealed on Twitter.

In a Twitlonger post, mithR revealed that he has stepped down from ALTERNATE aTTaX due to having "problems with finding the balance" between his job as a CS:GO teacher and the team. Explaining that his "heart belongs to his students", the Danish coach added that he will focus on developing young players at schools in his home country.

Formerly of Tricked, mithR joined ALTERNATE aTTaX in September of last year to step into Tobias "⁠tow b⁠" Herberhold's shoes as the team's coach. Most recently, the Danish coach attended Cross Border Esport with the team helping them to reach the grand final of the event before they lost to Tricked 1-2.

mithR will focus on his job as a CS:GO teacher in Denmark

mithR did not rule out the possibility of returning to the competitive scene "when the time is right" in his Twitlonger post, in which he also expressed his gratitude towards his former teammates and organisation:

"aTTaX has been the journey of my life!," he wrote. "Ever since HUNDEN asked me to come with him south of the German border to try something new and build something great I have felt like I have been in the best of hands.

"Alternate aTTaX has, without doubt, been the most professional esport organization I have been had the pleasure of working with and I will always remember the memories I have gotten at this place.

"A major shoutout to NIcolai ‘HUNDEN’ Petersen, who believed in me as a coach and who have given me the freedom to add principles of play and new ideas the way I saw fit during that time."

ALTERNATE aTTaX currently sit in seventh place in ESEA MDL Season 29 Europe with a 2-0 record following victories over Swedish duo Flow and Chaos. Later this month, the Danish team will compete at the ESL Pro European Championship, in Poznan, Poland.

With this move, ALTERNATE aTTaX now have:

Nope, alot of Danish schools have Esport as subjects now. Where mithR is one of the people behind the "esport in school stuff" in Denmark. So he basicly trains the people who signs up for the esport line, to develop them into future machines.

Just like there are high school football teams in murica, there are now CS:GO classes in Denmark in various schools across the country. It's not as common as other sports, but it's definitely a thing, and has been for a few years now.

Holy shit man, really? A hltv thread about this clown making a move with a tier500 team. He has never even won a big lan or achieved anything big in his "Career" as a cs player. I compare his role as a coach to people like Zeus or Zonic, or people with actual skills to coach teams to deal with pressure, and learn how to master scenarios where you need to act swiftly. There is literally no comparising. He is a csgo teacher on with a salary and coaches professionel teams in csgo with only his autodidact knowledge of the game.. What you can`t manipulate people to think these days to gain fake credit, salary, popularity or status.
