MOUZ are contemplating benching Janusz "⁠Snax⁠" Pogorzelski and bringing Martin "⁠STYKO⁠" Styk back into the starting line-up, VPEsports.com has claimed.

The report comes just 24 hours after MOUZ were eliminated from StarSeries i-League Season 6 following an overtime defeat against BIG in the fifth round of the Swiss stage.

Snax has been on MOUZ' books since June, when he was signed from Virtus.pro to replace STYKO on the roster.

Snax's time on mousesports may be coming to an end

The Polish talent helped MOUZ to semi-final appearances at ELEAGUE Premier and Dreamhack Masters Stockholm before the team crashed out of the FACEIT Major in the New Legends Stage with a 0-3 record - which will force them to go through the online closed qualifier to secure a spot at the IEM Katowice Major.

Against all odds, MOUZ managed to win ESL One New York, only to hit another low at StarSeries, where they lost to ENCE, OpTic and BIG after winning their first two matches in the tournament.

According to VPEsports.com, Snax was not invited to a team meeting on Wednesday in which the current situation was discussed. STYKO, who remains contracted to the organisation and is available following the end of his loan spell with Cloud9, is the favourite to replace Snax on the roster if the team decide to bench the ex-Virtus.pro star, who has been featured in HLTV.org's Top 20 of the Year ranking for the last four years.

hltv.org/stats/teams/lineups/4494/mouses.. Just compare the pure winrates of the lineups. You can also compare the placements of the lineups. Mouz with Styko was better and winrate and placements prove that. I am not saying that they should bring him back but in order for their system to work you need a Styko type player that can effectively play the support role.

I think even if they do bring back styko it won't be as good, just getting the vibes of when fnatic tried to remake the dennis lineup, they will be an ok team but not the old team. Sure you can bring back styko but I think they need another roster change as well if they are doing that. When you kick someone from the lineup, bringing them back again creates a very different atmosphere in the team than before they were kicked. I think kicking styko in the first place was a mistake and it was probably some of the younger players not realizing what he did for the team at the time.

Sunny and oskar have fallen off a bit, and this is definitely due to some communication and synergy issues. They are losing more. You don't get good stats by losing. Not 100% the fault of snax Ropz is definitely directly due to not being able to anchor as effectively. This is 100% the fault of snax not being a good fit for the role

Oskar top 5 awper 2018, why the f*ck mouz would bench him? Snax is better than STYKO, but old mouz was better than the actual one. STYKO had more synergy within the team, and that's what makes the real difference. The only support player which is current a free agent is kio. Cromen could fit too. These 2 and STYKO are the best options.

Mouz ended the first half of 2017 still missing NiKo. With STYKO and Sunny they instantly became a top 10, and carved the path to be top 4 this year. Right now, Mouz suffers from the same problem as Liquid and Navi, they still have to figure out how to make the leap to be a top 1. Liquid brought TACO, Navi signed electronic and both were upgrades. Mouz did the same with Snax, but for them it didn't pay off.

Styko enables others to shine Snax doesnt so he takes away space from the other stars (they also give him better spots than ropz for example so he feels more comfortable) so in that sense it is his fault for not being a good enough support player and also for not even being able to frag when he gets set up for it

Cromen could be a ropz style player. I don't think he could be plugged right into a styko role The reason ropz sucks is because he can't anchor sites nearly as effectively without a support player with great communication helping out the situation. He also isn't really even that much worse

Sunny had a 3 monthes during the late-first /early second 2018 trimester though.. And ropz had basically similar ratings during last 12 monthes with a considerable dip in performance latest 4 monthes(and also while playing anchor).. His slump began around the moment the drama with styko getting kicked and snax joining took place ( so I think it's basically due to the team's ambiance that has looked very bad since then ) .. Also was their main carry during sunny's post major slump ( 1.13 LAN rating between feb/may ) and probably the top anchor during that stint... Anyway both are really good but mouz need at least 3 of their big 4 to be on top if they want to contend for regular LAN championships..

I don't think this is the right decision. Mouz seemed tilted at starladder and didn't even seem happy to win NY... Every other team cheers if they win a round, mouz is just emotionless... They expected better results immediately after adding snax which was kind of irrational tbh. NY showed that mouz can play at a high level with snax but they expect too much now at starladder and got tilted easily... If a team wants to get better they need to work together and not just add another player. Mouz proved they have the talent to win and there's no guarantee that mouz will get better after benching snax. They will again expect immediate results which will most likely not happen.... Imo their approach at the game needs to change, more practice, work on their communication and so on...

Mentioning one example doesn't change the fact that teams need time to function properly. Adding Niko, guardian or olofmeister might not be the best example. They come in a working system and they're expected to frag. Snax was brought in for styko which changes the system
