ENCE to StarSeries grand final over OpTic

ENCE are through to the grand final at StarSeries i-League Season 6 after beating OpTic 2-0 in the semis (16-10 on Mirage and 16-7 on Cache).

The best-of-three semi-final match between OpTic and ENCE started on Mirage where the CT-sided Finns secured the pistol victory. OpTic hit back in the following round as both Jakob "⁠JUGi⁠" Hansen and Kristian "⁠k0nfig⁠" Wienecke got two Deagle kills.

The Danes were in control in the first 13 rounds as they led 9-4. ENCE gathered some momentum by picking up the last two rounds of the half and tied the game at 9-9 after winning the first three rounds in the second half.

ENCE are the first grand finalists

Aleksi "⁠allu⁠" Jalli & company managed to win a 3vs5 in the first weapon round which gave them the lead (10-9). ENCE only lost one round on the T-side and won the map 16-10, going 1-0 ahead in the series.

Cache was the second map and the CT-sided Finnish team got the first round thanks to Sami "⁠xseveN⁠" Laasanen's triple kill. Despite losing the second round to Deagles, ENCE went on an incredible run, taking eight rounds in a row and leading 9-1.

OpTic are out of contention in Kiev

After losing the first half 12-3, OpTic secured the second pistol with a comfortable retake. ENCE bought fully in the 18th round which they won as Aleksi "⁠Aleksib⁠" Virolainen killed k0nfig in a 1vs1 to trade his teammate (13-5).

ENCE closed out the map in the 23rd round, winning it 16-7 and taking the series 2-0. The Finns have advanced to the grand final at StarSeries i-League Season 6 after this victory.

I like the trash talk as well. I just think it is so funny that everyone wants trash talk, but as soon as someone actually trash talks, everyone gets mad at that person and the community goes mental. I completely agree with the smooya and k0nfig part even tho i find it quite funny how 'confident/cocky' smooya is, even tho it makes him look kinda stupid as well.

There's a huge difference saying "we're going to win the tournament" and "ENCE or BIG are bad and therefore wont win the tournament". 1st statement = confidence. 2nd = childish and douchy arrogance. There's a fine line between confidence and arrogance and everyone hates arrogant kids. The so called "trash talk" can include both of these, but only the players doing it fair and respectfully, won't be hated and the ones being salty kids, will get hated every time.

Norway never had a strong scene, but they have always had super talented players. Catch had a massively talented lineup with player like juven9le, oops, REAL (he was the one the community expected to rule the CS scene) and Naikon. They had EoLithic, Naikon in there too, with elemeNt and knoxville. They playd SK 13 times, by far the most dominant team back then, and they won 12 of those matches. Norway had kalle who was an insane talent and one of the best pistol players in CS. But their scene isn't big, after EoL and Catch they have had no top-level team, but they do have players good enough to join top level teams.

I don’t see tournaments with nations these days but in 1.6 Norway was always good in those. The match i was watchig was on cpl_mill, base for tuscan later. They also had that guy prb or something. They played so good together, I think they won the tournament. I love when scandinavian teams play vs another, i bet when astralis finally lose nuke it will be from ence or fragsters :)

cpl_mill used to be my favorite map, tuscan too of course cause it was just an updated mill. Never liked mirage tho, (former cpl_strike) but I loved cpl_fire as well. It just never got updated and was kinda left to oblivion. And yes, prb is the nick. He played for team Norway for years.
