ex-Space Soldiers: "We unilaterally rescinded our contracts on September 15"
We reached out to the ex-Space Soldiers players to shed light on their decision to leave the Turkish organization.
The Turkish team, who most recently competed at BLAST Pro Series Istanbul, announced on Saturday that they were leaving Space Soldiers.
The organization had been Ismailcan "XANTARES" Dörtkardeş's home for the entirety of his professional CS:GO career, with the remaining players having also donned their colours for at least one and a half years.

In response to the team's statement, Space Soldiers posted a tweet stressing that the players remain contracted to the organisation and that it will hold on to the release clauses "in high priority" - something that the players reject.
"The regrettable statement released by Space Soldiers on social media that claimed we were still under contract has prompted us to explain the situation." the ex-Space Soldiers players told HLTV.org.
Engin "MAJ3R" Küpeli & company revealed that they unilaterally rescinded their contracts on September 15 after they were unable to come to an agreement with Space Soldiers.
"The fact that the organization remained silent all this time shows that they tacitly accepted our rescission proclamation," the players claim. "Thus, our contracts are void and we have no obligation to fulfil them."
"Our main goal at Space Soldiers was to be among the best teams in the world and stay there. But everything went downhill after the Boston Major.
"Our performance took an obvious hit after that event, but we felt like everything was normal despite all the negativity that we went through. However, looking at it now, it was obvious that we were all affected psychologically. We feel sorry for disappointing everyone who loved and supported us."

The Turkish players admit that trying to look at everything only from a professional perspective caused them to suffer constant defeats, both in game and in real life. "We don't want to spill all the beans here but it is not hard to figure out the issues that we faced.
"While we, as professional players, wanted an environment in which we could solely focus on CS:GO without having to worry about our futures, we found ourselves dealing with constant and never-ending issues, and the result is before your eyes."
The team admit that the experience they gained during their tenure with Space Soldiers will be used "very wisely going forward", and as the search for a new organisation continues, they are solely focused on getting back to form.
"Our primary goal is to once again qualify for the ESL Pro League Finals and later we will play the Minor qualifier," the team state. "We will work hard to be successful."
"If any organization would like to work with us, we would be glad [to talk], but we are in no rush. On the contrary, we will go over our decision with a fine-tooth comb. You can reach us using this email: [email protected]"
