Former Gambit, k1ck players link up for CIS Minor qualifier

Former members of Gambit and k1ck have got together to compete in the qualifiers for the CIS Minor, it has been announced.

The mix team feature Denis "⁠seized⁠" Kostin and Dmitry "⁠hooch⁠" Bogdanov, both of whom were part of the Russia squad that claimed the bronze at the WESG 2017 Finals.

seized has been without a team since May, when he was placed on Gambit's transfer list and replaced by Nikolay "⁠mir⁠" Bityukov, while hooch is officially a part of EPG, though he has not played a competitive match for the team since August.

seized and starix link up for Minor qualifier

Rounding out the roster are Sergey "⁠starix⁠" Ischuk, Nikolaj "⁠kalinka⁠" Rysakov and Alexander "⁠scoobyxie⁠" Marynych, who were part of the Ukrainian team released by k1ck just three months into their deal with the Portuguese organisation. During this period, the team attended just one LAN event, the MID.TV Cyber Cup, where they placed 9th-12th.

The qualifying process for the CIS Minor will begin on October 24 with the first of four open qualifiers, each one with two spots in a closed tournament up for grabs. The qualified sides will join eight invitees in the closed qualifier, from which the top eight will make the Minor.

The mix team look as follows:
