AVANGAR to EPICENTER semis over HellRaisers

AVANGAR are through to the semi-finals at EPICENTER after defeating HellRaisers 2-0 (16-10 on Inferno and 16-9 on Train).

The first quarter-final at EPICENTER 2018 kicked off on Inferno where AVANGAR started on the CT-side. Timur "⁠buster⁠" Tulepov's triple kill gave the pistol victory to the Kazakhstani team who made it 2-0 with the anti-eco victory.

Issa "⁠ISSAA⁠" Murad clutched a 1vs3 in the third round after which HellRaisers went on to take the lead (3-2). AVANGAR responded by taking four in a row and led 6-3. buster's quad kill in a 3vs5 made it 7-4 and AVANGAR proceeded to finish the first half 9-6 ahead.

AVANGAR upset HR in the quarter-finals

HellRaisers had a positive start to their CT-side, winning the pistol thanks to Vladyslav "⁠bondik⁠" Nechyporchuk's triple kill. However, AVANGAR hit back in the 18th round with a full buy and followed it up with three more round victories to lead 13-8.

AVANGAR earned five match points by winning the 25th round in which Aleksei "⁠Qikert⁠" Golubev secured a triple kill in a 3vs4. Aidyn "⁠KrizzeN⁠" Turlybekov closed out the map in the following round as he clutched a 1vs2 against ISSAA and Özgür "⁠woxic⁠" Eker (16-10).

HR's EPICENTER campaign is over

Train was the second map and T-sided AVANGAR picked up the first three rounds. HellRaisers managed to come back and take the lead after winning five of the following six rounds (5-4). The Kazakhstani team went on the exact same run and ended the half 9-6 in front.

woxic clutched a 1vs3 on the B-site to win the second pistol round, giving HellRaisers their seventh. Just like on Inferno, HellRaisers lost the third round of the second half after winning the first two and AVANGAR led 10-8.

Dzhami "⁠Jame⁠" Ali gave AVANGAR six match points with a 1vs2 clutch and they closed out the map 16-9 to win the series 2-0. Jame & company will take on Natus Vincere in the semi-finals.

They literally only have 1 sponsor at this point, even though they're consistent top 15 team. And there's a reason. They have to little CIS player rn for CIS companies to be interested, only deadfox from EU and I don't think that any arabian or turkish company interested in cybersport at all. And at the same city you have Na'Vi, much better option for sponsorship. So there's not that much money.
