BLAST Pro Series Copenhagen 2018 viewer's guide

With BLAST Pro Series returning to the Danish capital, we've collected all the information you'll need to enjoy the event.

BLAST Pro Series Copenhagen will take place from November 2-3 in the 16,000-seater Royal Arena with $250,000 on the line.

The event concept is constructed to compress tournament action into just one day of arena play, and as such, the format sees the six directly invited teams play each other in a round-robin format with three best-of-one matches running simultaneously.

The group stage will run on both tournament days, with nine total matches being played in the arena on Saturday. The top two teams will then face off in a best-of-three grand final in the early evening.

The Royal Arena in Copenhagen once again opens its doors for BLAST Pro Series Copenhagen

Before the grand final, a bonus match called 'BLAST Pro Stand-off' will take place, where the team placing 3rd in the group stage picks another remaining side to play in a match featuring five 1v1 aim duels for a chance to win the $20,000 cash prize.

Below is the full team list for the Copenhagen event:

Being there in the arena with this type of format is cool. It is much more suited to an actual live audience than most other formats.

A pretty rough schedule, 3 games (granted, only BO1 but they can also be pretty draining) before the grand final in a few hour window.

Their HUD and format suck bigo dicko. Also, turkish crowd was really bad. Danish crowd was kinda alive when Astralis were winning rounds.

Turkish scene is bad, so the crowd gonna be the same. Their HUD for me, for my taste is the best what i ever saw, the colors fits in, also I like the music what they are using, the stage looks great. This year it seems that they dont have technical difficulties so the production looks professional. Of course this event is about Astralis but organizers picked the most popular and powerful teams against them, SK managed to stop them in the final last year, very tense match with crazy plays, so i expecting a good show this year.

Indeed, stage is great. I like their music too. In terms of fun, that's best event. cs_summit was great but look at their 3rd season invites...tier-2 tournament :( I remember Cloud9 brax..what a great journey for him.

they might as well of given Astralis 5 Nuke maps. Overpass and Inferno would probably of been one of their picks anyway after Nuke. I think BO1 needs to be changed when you have an event with 4 of the top 5 ranked teams.

Idk why they would put more series into the last day and so few at the first day. It's so fucked up. The players who get into finals and aim duel are gonna be really tired, especially since IEM Chicago is 3 days right after it.

I mean you can't look at blast for the best tournament because their thing just doesnt make sense. Matches are played to a tie? Sounds like a fresh idea, but still doesnt make any sense because it doesnt answer what team should have been the better one at the map.

i dont like this format, visited all their events so far.. even in istanbul the crowd was 0,0 ... every game that was bein played was messy, and the crowd wasnt even cheering....... shitty venue rules, no food allowed so u have to eat rotten garbage, like foreal? my sandwiches were thrown away and why?! possible terrorist smugglers, like wtf?! another erdo rule i suppose? then at least provide decent meals, idgaf about the price, i'll pay for all, but this was soo stupid. best of all, casting was in ... turkish???!! what about international crowd? i didnt see anders nor blackddk, it feels like i was there for a turkish boring soccergame and nobody was hyped up, poor rly ps i paid over 200$ to sit in front of....pasza xD and mibr, cant change seats and the gamers always sit in the same place so gg, i couldnt even spectate astralis live in front of me, feels fuckin bad man.
