Crack Clan show why its not a bug

The dispute in the Crack Clan versus Aquintra match has been settled – Crack Clan proves it’s not a bug.

Crack Clan was not satisfied with the decision the admins made, which lead to them showing HLTV.org that this was not a bug plant, but a matter of from which angle you defused from.

Based on this, admins went back and said 15-15 as the final call, giving both teams a point and Crack Clan a lot for to play for. Stay tuned for more updates from DreamHack Summer.

lol, because it can be defused from a specific angle its not a bug? thats the stupidest reasoning ive ever heard in an argument over cs glitches. if it causes any sort of glitch in any way, like that first angle of defuse, then it is a glitch. not half and half or because there are other ways to do it. if there was a way to plant the bomb in a spot that only a person with an awp could defuse it would you be making the same stupid argument? "well it can be defused, its not a bug" just sounds stupid, and the fact cc took enough time to figure this out and then use it in a match is pretty sad. use that time to work on some strats or play some legitament scrims.

Chosenst is completely right. Just because it's POSSIBLY to defuse the bomb from that angle, doesn't mean it's not a bug.. the fact of the matter is when they tried to defuse the bomb, with two different players, they couldn't because of the bug caused by where the bomb was planted, therefore it is a bug. Most people don't know about that bug, so it's obvious they weren't going to figure out in the 10 or so seconds they had to defuse that they needed to approach from a different angle. It probably wasn't an intentional bug, but it still affected the outcome of the round.

No chance for CC anyway. Aquintra has +1 (rounds) after 3 matches Crack Clan has -11 after 2 matches. Now they are playing with Delta and it's 10-5 first half. So if cc can do it 16-5 they will have 0. So gl Aquintra

I don't understand, it looks to me like you couldn't defuse the bomb from a certain angle. If i'm right, than how could that not be considered a bug plant? Obviously aquintra weren't aware of the fact that they would be able to defuse it from another angle. This fact together with the fact that it indeed was a bug plant seems to me be reason enough to punish Crack Clan. The decision seems a bit strange to me.

the fact you plant the bomb on that bugged box means you use that bugged box to you advantage. They surely knew it wasn't possible to defuse it from a certain angle. And there are so many different, unbugged ways to plant the bomb to be covered from long... shouldn't have planted there.

Because 1.6 was made so that you can't defuse while floating, which is exactly what you're doing if you're on top of the bomb and leaning against the box.

It didn't affect the round at all imo since tihOp killed both "defusers" inside 2 seconds from the pit at long so even if they could have really defused from that position they would have been killed. And I seriously doubt they did it on purpose as they didn't know even what bug they were talking about and it is extremely common to plant near the box, this time it was just a little bit closer than usual so you couldn't defuse being right next to the box. Also if I remember the round correctly, natu went towards the box more to hide from the enemy coming from catwalk, not to put a bugplant. And what #80 was talking about, I agree that it surely wasn't the nicest feeling to go into the DTS match with a forfeit loss behind you and thinking that you had to win it. As it came out, only a few rounds more could have made a difference. I was a bit stunned how the admins made their minds so quickly after the match that they immediately took 3 rounds way from cc, probably didn't even research it themselves as cc showed that it wasn't the bomb that was crooked, it was the box.

Alle of the players said admins were a bit... strange in dreamhacks. They are mainly here to organize a giant fun tournament and when we are talking about serious competition there is a dommageable lack of serious.

That's not the point, but he said "Finland win" as if they won due to the bug not being counted as a bug, but they still got eliminated. And imo, it's still a bug that shouldn't be allowed because in a stressed situation where seconds matter you just take the fastest way to the bomb and you don't think about angles and other Einstein-matters.

In my opinion bugs that are punishable on a tournament of any kind are bugs that are known. I play cs 1.6 for 7 years now and never did/saw this "bug" neither some1 else cause that way it would've been known by all the people here and there would not be any question about being or not being bug. So Crack Clan if You ask me must not be punished and were not punished due to the referees agreement cause of the thing I mentioned in the 1st sentence , if I'm not mistaken that's why their final call was 15-15. So yes its bug , its bug that we are aware of now and its bug that wont be allowed in other tournaments after this1 but bug that wasn't punishable in this tournament .
