Denis "⁠seized⁠" Kostin is no longer contracted to Gambit, both parties have announced.

The 24-year-old had been on Gambit's transfer-list since May, just three months after being recruited as a replacement for Bektiyar "⁠fitch⁠" Bahytov, initially on trial.

During seized's short-lived stint with Gambit, the PGL Major Krakow champions most notably placed top-four at DreamHack Masters Marseille, but the team eventually turned to Vega Squadron talent Nikolay "⁠mir⁠" Bityukov in search for more firepower.

In an Instagram post, the former Na`Vi player revealed that this was the case of "egos destroying good atmospheres and teams", and noted that he "truly believed in our line-up."

Gambit have earmarked Dmitry "⁠dimasick⁠" Matvienko and Vadim "⁠Flarich⁠" Karetin as potential replacements for star duo Abay "⁠HObbit⁠" Khassenov and Dauren "⁠AdreN⁠" Kystaubayev, both of whom have been transfer listed by the CIS organisation.

seized recently competed in the first open qualifier for the CIS Minor alongside compatriot Dmitry "⁠hooch⁠" Bogdanov and ex-k1ck trio Sergey "⁠starix⁠" Ischuk, Nikolaj "⁠kalinka⁠" Rysakov and Alexander "⁠scoobyxie⁠" Marynych. The team, called UnderPressure, managed to secure a spot in the closed bracket after defeating DreamEaters in the semi-finals.
