GeT_RiGhT: "We're one of the few teams who can beat Astralis even though we can lose to anyone else"
Our next interview from BLAST Pro Series Copenhagen is with Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund, whose Ninjas in Pyjamas are in the lead of the group stage after they tied FaZe and beat Astralis on day one.
Ninjas in Pyjamas now have four points from the first two matches after tying FaZe on Mirage in the first round and defeating Astralis in a close battle on Overpass, where the Swedes put up a fantastic defense to come back.

After the second match, we got a hold of GeT_RiGhT to ask him about the first two rounds and confidence ahead of the rest of the group stage, which will decide the top two teams going into the event's grand final.
Tell me about your FaZe match first and how you managed to take them to a tie on Mirage.
We played each other two days ago, four maps in a row, we won three of them. Of course, it was online, but at the same time, both of the teams were on LAN, so it was kind of a game like here. We were feeling confident going into the game and we knew we had a high chance to beat them. We are working on a lot of things with the team because we need to get better and no matter what obstacle comes, we want to learn something by it, and we try to be even more open-minded than we were before.
We weren't even tilted or anything like that going into the game. We felt after the game that we should have won it because GuardiaN made that huge ace in that 14-14 round, we had them really tight and I think they felt the pressure more than we did. We were happy in the end with the tie because we made huge steps in what we've been discussing with the team and we did discuss it before and even yesterday, so seeing those small things that we talked about making a huge difference and we're happy with that. We felt we should have won, but I guess they'll feel the same.
Winning against Astralis is a challenge in its own right today, what do you think were the keys to beating them on Overpass in the second round?
I'm not sure, to be honest. I think everyone in our team felt confident to always go against them even though sometimes we get crushed by them and what not. It feels like we're one of those fewer teams that can actually beat them even though we can lose against anyone else (laughs). We're trying to get better and we would like to get more stable and become one of the top teams like the rest of the teams attending the tournament here.
Going into the game, we just felt confident, again, even though we haven't played very well on Overpass in the last couple of weeks. We knew how we were going to play against them and we haven't played against each other on Overpass in a long time, not on LAN at least. We knew what we were going to get from them. We managed to grind a lot of rounds, they managed to grind a lot of rounds, it was a little back and forth and we just managed to close out the game. I'm happy with the result.
At the end of the day, it's still the group stage and what not, I'm not taking it like victory or anything like that, they're still a super good team, they're the number one team in the world and everyone else still has a chance to pass the group stage, so we just have to take one game at a time. We're happy with this win, but we're not overly ecstatic or super happy with it because we just have to keep moving forward and think that we have to take one step at a time.
Three games to come and tomorrow it's all deciding and we really, really want to go to the final here. It's looking promising at the moment, I'm happy with day one, but I'm not going to take anything for granted just because we played a good first day.
Last time, in Istanbul, it kind of slipped away from you because of that one tie to MIBR, what do you think it's going to take to get to the final this time?
Step up our game even more, not making it to these close games, I guess? We should just go with what we were doing today. At the end of the day, we don't care if we win 16-0, 16-5, or 16-14, we learn everything now and we have to be open-minded to just take all the obstacles that come, just focus, be more positive, and look forward. Going into tomorrow, just do what we did today. I'm not really sure what we did, but we will see. It's just day one and we're not taking anything for granted, at least.
