Fragsters seek DreamHack Atlanta stand-in as Bubski is ruled out

Fragsters are on the lookout for a last-minute stand-in for DreamHack Atlanta as Lucas "⁠Bubzkji⁠" Andersen will not be able to attend the event, it has been revealed.

According to a Twitter post from Ismail "⁠refrezh⁠" Ali, Bubzkji is ruled out due to "serious medical issues", leaving the Danish team with just four eligible players with little over 24 hours to go before they play their first match in Atlanta.

refrezh guaranteed that the stand-in's nationality "is irrelevant", provided that they are "skilled enough", and urged all interested players to message him on Twitter.

Bubski will not attend DreamHack Atlanta with the team

The news comes a serious blow for Fragsters, who were hoping to leave their mark on the tournament as they seek a new organisation to represent in 2019.

Following the news being released, Bubzkji put out a TwitLonger about the situation, stating that the stressful life of being a professional player "introduced many medical and psychological problems" into his life, with things escalating as he had a "really bad panic attack" ahead of traveling to DreamHack Open Atlanta.

"And yesterday/today I couldn’t do this any longer. I had a really bad panic attack today with drowsiness, fatigue, I had difficulty breathing and almost passed out. And that was really the final nail in the coffin, to put my CS career on pause. I need to look at my own health before going further, I don’t know if I’m gonna retire or come back to CS when I’m in a more healthy state. I still have a drive for the game, so coming back to professional CS is not unlikely when I fix my personal and medical issues. But as things are right now, I'm probably not gonna play serious CS for a while. I will still play CS for fun though (FPL, mixes, etc.) " - Bubzkji

Fragsters have been drawn in DreamHack Atlanta's Group B, along with Ghost, Vitality and Rogue, with their first match at the tournament pitting them against Mathias "⁠MSL⁠" Lauridsen's troops.

The Danish team are currently travelling to Atlanta with:

They're playing against MSL and Rogue for their first match saddly... They're in a bit of a pickle... They could offer to fly a player from Denmark who is willing to go and isn't busy. Otherwise, they'll probably have to get an NA stand-in (which'll cause huge communication issues).

Bubski has been playing many years and attended lans in Denmark. But yeah, it's gotta be stressfull to go pro, though i don't think it's that new for him. Maybe it has just lasted too long for him to handle.
