ViCi to miss Toyota Master Bangkok, 5POWER to fill in

ViCi have been ruled out of Toyota Master Bangkok due to visa issues, HLTV.org has learned.

The Chinese team are unable to travel to Thailand as they are currently applying for a visa to enter Denmark, where they will be competing next month at the ESL Pro League Season 8 Finals, in Odense.

5POWER, who finished runner-up to ViCi in the Chinese qualifier, will be taking the vacant position in the tournament, HLTV.org has confirmed.

ViCi unable to attend the Thai event

Wei "⁠shuadapai⁠" Wang's team were last seen on LAN in the EPICENTER 2018 Wild Card Qualifier, in which they finished in fourth place after recording losses to Virtus.pro and Swole Patrol.

The Toyota Master Bangkok will run from November 22-25 at the Indoor Stadium Huamark, where ten teams will square off for their share of a $100,000 prize pool. The final team list for the event looks as follows:

that was my guess, because they can make it on time and want to play. Cant think of another regional team that can make it on such short notice.

Why don't these visa troubled teams apply months in advance, it's not that difficult.

As the article says, they are already applying for visa to enter Denmark. I don't know the rules about visa but i assume this interferes with applying for another visa while waiting for one to be confirmed.

exactly that you cant apply for visas simultaneously because when you do you actually have to hand over your passport. (thats how the ukranian embassy lost woxics passport)

if you can enter the said country in advance with just a passport yes you are right. but if you need the visa then you probably would have had the same issue because the embassy holds your passport until they give it to you. since you cant apply for 2 seperate visas seperately. but considering you are a finn you d probably get your visa in minutes i guess.
