ECS Season 6 FinalsNiP ease past NRG on Nuke
Ninjas in Pyjamas have beaten NRG 16-6 on Nuke to begin their campaign at the ECS Season 6 Finals.
The Group B opening match between NRG and Ninjas in Pyjamas was on Nuke where the Swedes started on the CT-side. Patrik "f0rest" Lindberg & Jonas "Lekr0" Olofsson secured the pistol round with double kills and Ninjas in Pyjamas made it 2-0 after winning the anti-eco.
Ethan "Ethan" Arnold stepped up with a quad kill in the third round to put NRG on the board but Ninjas in Pyjamas hit back with five consecutive round victories to lead 7-1. A triple kill by Ethan gave NRG their second but Ninjas in Pyjamas went on to finish the half 12-3 ahead.
Fredrik "REZ" Sterner kicked off Ninjas in Pyjamas's CT-side with a quad kill which extended their lead to 13-3. REZ & Lekr0 clutches a 2vs3 in the 18th round to earn their team 12 match points.
Ninjas in Pyjamas closed out the game on the upper bomb-site as Lekr0 clutched a 1vs2. The Swedes won the map 16-6 and advanced to the winners' match in Arlington, Texas, USA.
