AGO, Heroic top Toyota Master Bangkok groups

The opening day of Toyota Master Bangkok has reached an end, with AGO and HEROIC sealing passage to the semi-finals.

The Polish team finished at the summit of Group A with two victories and two draws on account of some great individual performances - Damian "Furlan" Kislowski, Tomasz "phr" Wójcik and Kacper "kaper" Słoma all finished among the top-five rated players of the day -, only splitting maps with Renegades and TeamOne.

The Brazilians were the biggest losers of the day as they finished at the bottom of the group, even trailing local side Alpha Red, who produced one of the upsets of this phase as they beat TYLOO in a keenly-contested match to put the Chinese team against the ropes.

Heroic advance to the last-four stage

Hansel "BnTeT" Ferdinand's troops would bounce back with a 2-0 victory over archrival Renegades, who, however, still managed to finish in second place to secure the higher seed in the first round of the playoffs.

Led by coach Luis "peacemaker" Tadeu, HEROIC claimed the top spot in Group B with eight points, curiously only struggling against European opposition as they were held to draws by Kinguin and pro100.

The group also produced an interesting three-way tie for third place between 5POWER, Kinguin and MVP PK, with the Chinese side - a last-minute replacement following ViCi's withdrawal due to visa issues - coming out on top due to having a better round difference in the matches between these three sides.

Below you can find the complete standings for the group stage:

AGO and HEROIC will now enjoy a day off as the semi-finals are scheduled for Saturday, while Renegades, TYLOO, pro100 and 5POWER will return to action on Friday, with the schedule looking as follows:

06:30 | Ukraine pro100 vs. China TYLOO | BO3
11:00 | Australia Renegades vs. China 5POWER | BO3

COOL. I also really liked him at North. Technically a beast, and with more experience, he will be immense. See you soon :)

If you want to decide it with h2h then you've got kinguin who won mvp, mvp who won 5power and 5power who won kinguin So round difference is the only way

Infact it is Round difference between kinguin-mvp-5power Pro100 and heroic do not count on round difference to determine.

If 5P won exactly two rounds less, then the total RD will count right?

I'd have to look at the rules (there are nowhere to be found). Maybe it would be total RD, or teams would have to face each other again. This is why round-robin group stages are so rare these days

Would be nice to see a bo3 on lan, that would tell us much more. I think ago is better than VP, but snatchie is the best polish player.
