TyLoo win IEF 2009

TyLoo put it an eye-catching performance to defeat wNv.cn in the Grand Final of IEF 2009.

The event, which took place at Dalian's World Expo Plaza (DWEP), attracted a total of 16 Chinese teams, who battled it out for a first prize of approximately €7,300.

wNv were represented by their two Counter-Strike teams, both of whom had recently undergone roster changes, but neither managed to clinch the trophy.

In the semi-finals, wNv.cn thrashed wNv.GM 2-0 after 16-0 and 16-4 results, this way qualifying for the Grand Final, where they would take on TyLoo.

In the final match, TyLoo controlled the game at the earlier stages, winning the first map (de_dust2) 16-6. On de_train, it looked like wNv were capable of taking the game to a third map but TyLoo won the last round to make it 16-14.

The 3rd/4th place decider saw wNv.GM taking on OurStory, with the latter coming out on top 2-1 in a very close encounter.
