Hardwire hit back at astralis

Team Hardwire leader Fredric "copyR" Chronholm has released a statement to counteract astralis' criticism.

The Finnish team announced on Thursday the decision to part company with Hardwire after the organisation had failed to fulfill the terms of the agreement.

According to the team's manager, Sune "crZy" Hansen, Hardwire had promised to cover the expenses for GameGune, only to come up with "excuses and reasons for not paying."

Chronholm has now declared that the Finnish team requested more money to attend GameGune after an initial sum had been agreed by both parties.

"When they talked with us about signing to our organization, they left us a PSD. with full information about Astralis past time and what they had planned for coming events," a Hardwire statement read.

"Gamegune was the first event, and as the PSD told and as the team-manager crZy told us the budget was at XXX EUR.

The Hardwire organization agreed to pay the sum and everything seemed to be in order, for a short moment that is. As soon as we went official with the lineup we were told to get the bookings done, something we were obliged to do due to the agreement.

"The only problem was that the sum/budget that both parts had agreed upon, dramatically changed. The lineup together with their team manager suddenly demanded more money than we had agreed to finance. 3/3 was the budget that the initial agreement was based upon; now they demanded 4/3.

We told the guys and the team-manager to find a way to solve it for the budget we had given them 3/3 that is. They did not agree to this, they wanted the new price they just came up with, and when we did not agree to this, they left us."

:D

What's funny for me is that the flights to Bilbao and the hotels don't cost that much. The sum is not that many thousands of euros. If the sum increases by one third, the increase isn't huge in money. If hardwire seriously intends to sponsor a team, they should have money to fly a team to Bilbao at least. They are basically saying that astralis supposedly gave wrong information on purpose and demand more money for no reason. If hardwire owner would be a decent man with at least half a brain he would be able to look the prices up himself and see what is the case. A bad try to salvage his reputation that is already ruined at least in the Swedish community

The budget for gamegune was planned 3 weeks before hardwire was about to 'pay' for our flights, 6 flights to bilbao spain 1600€. When we talked about signing hardwire all we cared about was getting our trip to gamegune getting done as soon as possible, making it the first priority. copyR told us hardwire was able to pay for the trip, we looked into it and i left him the numbers for the trip and he said ok. Next he stayed off for 1 week, coming online and saying lets get on with this. As we said all the way, we didnt want to go official before he booked the flight tickets (due to the fact the organisation had a pretty shady reputation). That didnt happen. He sent us a contract which was ready to be signed. We still wanted our flying tickets paid before signing anything. Nothing still happened. We then went official under the hardwire name (this is 3 weeks from when we first started to talk with the hardwire organisation) and from then, the price of the flying tickets has rose with almost 1000€, something which could have been prevented from the bookings we first talked about. A budget is there to be held, but when you plan a lan budget and look up plain prices aswell as hotel prices, you dont book them 3 weeks later during the holidays in finland, ofcourse the prices are higher. Our option was that he could pay the flight tickets, we said pay the flights and we can figure the rest out later, theres a month left to gamegune (we had 48hours from gamegune to show them our flying tickets), nothing still happened. We didnt demand money, we demanded what stood in the contract and you couldnt live up to it

This only shows lousy dedication, ambitions and how unprofessional Hardwire / "copyR"-s management and leading is. Why delay the tickets when it's clear to everyone (it should come clearly) that tickets will rise in the vacations? It's also very unprofessional of CopyR to say that the astralis team "demanded" more money when he failed to suffice with tickets that should've been in order long time ago, trying to put the blame on someone else. Please resign - it would be best for this organization.

ummm.. so pretty much you wanted all ur flights paid before signing any kind of a contract or even joining the team? thats pretty bad form on your behalf... how can you expect ANY organisation to pay a few thousand euro to a team that isnt even signed to them?.. i dno how others look upon this (im pretty sure they're all gonna side with the astralis boys so whatever), but this (imo) makes u guys seem pretty selfish and greedy. Trust is a 2-way street and its obvious that you didnt trust them and they didnt trust you. Both sides are at fault here 50/50, but you guys seem pretty stupid to be asking for that much money without even signing to the team first lol

is funny how a team from a rich coutry, that is in the richest continent, have trouble to travel a few kilometers... while mibr is a team from the second most poor continent, travel thousands of kilometers every gamegune/big euro tournament.

Well the owner of mibr is one hell of a rich dude. In Brasil there is many poor and a few extremely rich citizens, so you can't really say what country is richest etc. it's not about that.

I agree, as a "latino" I find it funny/ridiculous how the wealthy europeans have problems like this. But still this sounds more like was mentioned in post #68 , that it was more a lack of trust (both sides) that created this situation. its not stupid, just sad, beacasue I can understand the circumstance.

Sorry i make mistake... Not in EU but in EMU = countrys usin euro... but still more expencive than britain too... 2 days ago: (sorry i am lazy so i transtlated it with google...) Finland remained stubbornly expensive eurozone country 26.6.2009 7:20 A A STT Finnish consumer prices in the euro countries, the highest. Industrial Countries, Finland, were more expensive in April, only Denmark, Switzerland and Norway. Irish prices were at the same level as in Finland, it is apparent from the industrialized countries of the Organization's comparison as that compensates the exchange rate differences. Denmark was the most expensive industrial country and thus the world's most expensive country. Danish consumer prices were on average 14 percent higher than in Finland. Finland's consumer price difference between the major EU member countries was significant. Prices were 17 percent higher than in France and 22 percent higher than in Germany. The British price level was exceeded by as many as 46 percent. Finland remained the price comparisons of expensive countries in the group, where it has been a long-term euro-consumer prices fall in spite of. The introduction of the euro is estimated to have fallen on food prices by 10 percent and also reduced its other consumer prices. Europe, the price level has changed in the most outside the euro zone in Sweden and Iceland. Euro rate rise in the U.S. and Japan, consumer prices are considerably cheaper than in Finland. In the U.S. in April was 29 percent and Japan 5 percent cheaper than in Finland. The Swedish krona strong decrease in prices for consumers, weighing 19 percent cheaper than in Finland. Previously, Sweden has been less expensive or more expensive than Finland. Devaluation of the krona to cut consumers' income and property value. Finland cant be expensive if my sister is SHOPPING there, because clothes in Helsinki and cool shops such as H&M (which doesnt exist in Estonia) are cheaper than Estonian shops.

Alcohol is much cheaper in Estonia. Thats why the traffic between Finland and Estonia is so huge (some 5 million passengers/year i think). Im personally responsible for 1/5 of the total passenger count :D

From my point of view.. They put in paper that hardware had to pay for the flight tickets.. And they just didn't. It was their own fault that they didnt buy them right away but waited till the prizes rose. And when they rose, hardwire blamed astralis for demanding more money ? They didnt demand anything, they just wanted the damn tickets to be bought! How the hell can anyone blame astralis for that ?

I can say from own experience that HARDWIRE is an lying orga. My team was suppose to go to Dreamhack skellefteå 2008 and hardwire said that they would pay our lan trips and shit like that, when we went official with hardwire he said that he would book everything. 2 weeks before the event copyR says "We dont got any money" when a few days before everything was ok. sorry bad english :)
