waterfaLLZ announces free agency

Nikita "⁠waterfaLLZ⁠" Matveyev is no longer contracted to Winstrike, the Russian player has announced on Twitter.

The 23-year-old had been on Winstrike's ranks since June, when he joined the organisation alongside the rest of the Quantum Bellator Fire roster.

His time with the team under Winstrike was short-lived, though, as after a poor run at the FACEIT Major, the organisation decided to bench waterfaLLZ, Gregory "⁠balblna⁠" Oleinick, Savelii "⁠jmqa⁠" Bragin and Aurimas "⁠Kvik⁠" Kvakšys, with only the Lithuanian being given a second chance.

waterfaLLZ was behind one of 2018's biggest underdog stories as he led Quantum Bellator Fire to a top-eight finish at the ELEAGUE Major Boston, a run they would not be able to replicate at the following Major, where they went out 0-3 in the New Legends Stage.

In his Twitter post, waterfaLLZ added that he is looking to play as a primary AWPer and "maybe" as an in-game leader.
