Astralis defeat NiP; FaZe, MIBR play out draw in Lisbon

Astralis have secured a 16-11 victory over Ninjas in Pyjamas on Overpass while the Mirage game between MIBR and FaZe ended 15-15 at Blast Pro Series Lisbon.

FaZe and MIBR squared off on Mirage in the third round of the group stage at BLAST Pro Series Lisbon. MIBR kicked off the game on the CT-side and won the pistol as Jake "⁠Stewie2K⁠" Yip got a triple kill. After MIBR made it 4-0, Stewie2K got consecutive AUG quad kills to make it 6-0.

FaZe got on the scoreboard thanks to Håvard "⁠rain⁠" Nygaard's opening kills in the seventh round (6-1). The European team recovered the score from 7-2 by winning five of the last six rounds in the half, trailing 8-7.

FaZe are yet to win a game in Lisbon

Two double-kill rounds by Stewie2K at the start of the second half extended MIBR's lead to 10-7. FaZe responded with a four round streak to take the lead for the first time in the game (11-10). Gabriel "⁠FalleN⁠" Toledo's triple kill with the AWP in the following round tied things up once again.

FaZe went on another four round streak to earn four match points but couldn’t close out the game as MIBR managed to get a draw.

Meanwhile, Astralis took on Ninjas in Pyjamas on Overpass. After the Danish team secured the first two rounds on the CT-side, Ninjas in Pyjamas claimed three rounds in a row, with Christopher "⁠GeT_RiGhT⁠" Alesund and Dennis "⁠dennis⁠" Edman getting the opening kills.

Ninjas in Pyjamas could only win three more rounds in the first half as Astralis finished it 9-6 ahead. Lukas "⁠gla1ve⁠" Rossander and Peter "⁠dupreeh⁠" Rasmussen's kills in a 3vs3 gave the second pistol victory to the Danish team who took three more to lead 13-6.

GeT_RiGhT & company got to double digits but couldn't go any further as Emil "⁠Magisk⁠" Reif sealed the 16-11 win with a triple kill in the 27th round.

Stewie on that game was the perfect example of why people shouldn't use stats to criticize/overrated some players. The guy just top frag (after crushing at the antiecos) mibr's ct side and just delivered most of faze's rounds with those overpicks and being overexposed after mibr got the entry kills like he was just playing a pug or something... but after the game all the hate goes towards the players which were on the bottom of the scoreboard.
