ASUS ROG Winter 2019 CS:GO with ~$14,300 prize pool

ASUS have revealed their ROG Winter 2019 CS:GO event featuring ~$14,300 in prize winnings.

Contrary to previous versions of ASUS ROG, this edition of the event has been limited to six participants in a bid to bring each match to the stage, making for an easier viewing experience for both the audience on-site and those watching at home.

The event will take place during the Assembly Winter 2019 festival at the Helsinki Exhibition and Convention Centre on the weekend of February 1-2. The format will feature a single-elimination, best-of-3 playoffs bracket.

ASUS ROG returns to Helsinki in 2019

Two of the six participants will be decided via open qualifiers available exclusively to Finnish teams. Said qualifiers will take place on January 13 and January 14, meanwhile the remaining four slots will be filled by teams issued direct invites to the event.

Teams looking to participate in the open qualifiers may do so by follow the links below:

Finnish Qualifier #1 (January 13) - Here
Finnish Qualifier #2 (January 14) - Here

ASUS ROG Winter 2019 prize distribution:

1. ~$8,000
2. ~$4,300
3. ~$2,000

Is it hard to live with that attitude? Taking every post 100% seriously and trying to answer the most fact way? Oh and btw, I think im old enough gamer to know what makes you "cs player". Btw, you are cs-player even if you play it once a month.

Idk man. This amount of money at 2019 is like my weekly bar money and its coming from a big company like Asus, literally a fucking joke. Company like that could give 100k and it would feel same for the company's economy. Sad.

If there are zero communications between asus finland and other asus offices, then im really worried about that company. If you do these tournaments right you get massive viewers and everybody loves Finland when they visit here, so its basically perfect place for big tournaments. Everything works well in Finland, starting from logistics. Add good hotels which you can always rely on. Etc etc.. Edit. link corecommunique.com/asus-ranked-one-fortu..

I never talked about how stream- viewers bring money, I only pointed out that one of the richest companies in world could afford 100k prize pool, even in country with size of Finland. ( Should I say here, Im not talking about geo size, seems like what ever you write you make your own story in your head ) Anybody being "happy" of these numbers are just happy to too little.

so what are you comparing us to and with what parameters? the closest example of something working is sweden, but in sweden you have approximately double the population of finland if you throw out statements without background, naturally others won't know what you're referring to
