ELEAGUE announce $150,000 CS:GO invitational

ELEAGUE have announced a four-team invitational tournament to be played at the ELEAGUE Studios in Atlanta, GA, on January 25-27, with $150,000 in prizes.

The $150,000 four-team tournament hosted by ELEAGUE will feature Complexity, BIG, Cloud9, and FaZe, and will feature a double-elimination bracket with all matches being best-of-three.

BIG will debut their new roster at the ELEAGUE Invitational

ELEAGUE also noted that this new tournament format is not meant to be something to replace their Premier series, but something new the American tournament organizer is trying out. Their studio will be open to the public on the last two days of the event, January 26th and 27th.

As well as the team lineup, the talent has been revealed, and will have ELEAGUE regulars James Bardolph and Daniel "⁠ddk⁠" Kapadia on commentary as well as Jason "⁠moses⁠" O'Toole and Sean "⁠seang@res⁠" Gares on the desk. The full roster is:

ScreaM is Belgian? I wouldn't consider SmithZz a legend in CS:GO, he's always been just "okay." ZywOo isn't a legend (yet). Kid's nuts though, from what I've seen. Amanek is hardly a legend, though he's a good player who deserves a shot in the top French teams.

Are you trolling or really this stupid? Brazilian teams cannot compete with us unless they move to the US, and vice versa, so you cannot correlate their population with ours. The Brazilian teams playing US teams are competing in North America (and moved here to do so, because of the larger player base, sort of like Europe's total player base), not South America, you fucking moron. A whole whopping, what? 35 players? France's population is smaller than the US, but your competition size (Europe) is considerably larger. You compete in Europe, just as MiBR competes in North America. Liquid have made the finals at majors twice? NA teams have been consistently in the Top 10 for more than a few years now? im not event that hyped gor faze because they only gotten adren who was meh lately. he is one of the most inconsistent players ever. hecan go god mode for 3 months then he cn go full bot mode for 4 months. he is not an igl and his igling wasnt good. niko igling will take it out of him. rain has been underwhelming, olof underwhelming. so in the end they havent fixed anything at all. id rather have them gamble on karrigan and reser their whole strat book and defaults instead during the player break or just go for a completely unknown 1.10+ rating onliner that has potential like frozen, espiranto or blamef. just to see if it would work. big? big is a boring team. because they are too meticulous. their talent should only allow them to be in the 20s but somehow the way they play allows them to be a top 10 team consistently. tabsen is a god. smooya even if he is a rat cunt is still a really interesting dude and fun player to atch. he is overrated sure but its not like he is bad. he is pretty good. gobs not underrated. he is literally big along with tabsen. just ask all those better teams that lost to them last year. so yes they are boring to watch, they adont have enough firepower to be favorites to win an event but they are a unique curious team. and they are far from being a shit team. also xantares. col joke team? fuck no. they made legends with a mdl level roster. because stan. stan is the most underrated player in na. he is still an amzing igl if you look at the way they set up in the maps. he is also a pretty good fragger still and probably the best player of col after the major. shahzam i ve always despised and im hoping he will get cut for wardell sick or moose at one point. n0thing i really disliked back in 2014-2015 becuse he only played the game for the money and didnt care about winning because he still wanted to play 1.6 and hated go. nowadays he is pretty pumped about playing and i enjoy that simple fact. he is grinding hard and if you read ropz and sunny article you can see how great he was as a teammate so he still has a place in the upper echelon of cs. c9.flusha and kio im bored of. they are past their prime. but at least flusha is kinda trying harder nowadays. so im all up for it for his post fnatic days. fuck kio. rush is not washed up. he has lower stats. thats just on paper. if you watch the guy play his aim, movement and gamesense ic still there. he is a fucking electric player still. his problem is that for the past 3 years he had problems on his teams not able to field a consistent 5. get a 5 man roster with him. make him play with the same core for more than 3 tournaments he will be good again. autimatic is still a god and is super hungry to win. zellsis is just a prospect. i dont care if he doesnt have any previous xp on lans. twistz and sicks first real lan was ecs s1. they made semis on a t1 tournament on their first tournament while having 1.10+ rating against top teams. lan xp is overrated. zellsis have been playing for a while. id rather have them get infinite but zellsis has potential. last 2 blasts they played a pretty fun cs. anyways this is a minor tournament just before the major. some teams are busy with the minors and major qualifiers. top 5 teams are atending ibp and preparing for the major. so i like this lineup of teams.
