Virtus.pro invited to Charleroi Esports

Virtus.pro are the latest team confirmed for Charleroi Esports, the tournament's organisers have revealed.

The Polish squad are the third side to accept an invitation to compete at the Belgian tournament, joining LDLC and Vitality on the team list for the event.

After a period of lacklustre results, Virtus.pro revamped their squad by adding Mateusz "⁠TOAO⁠" Zawistowski and bringing back Janusz "⁠Snax⁠" Pogorzelski and Paweł "⁠byali⁠" Bieliński, leaving behind longtime members Filip "⁠NEO⁠" Kubski and Jarosław "⁠pashaBiceps⁠" Jarząbkowski, as well as Piotr "⁠morelz⁠" Taterka.

Snax's men will compete in Charleroi

Charleroi Esports will be the first LAN event for Polish team, who should play their first official match on Thursday against EURONICS in ESEA MDL Season 30.

The tournament - a collaboration between football club RCSC Charleroi, basketball team Spriou Basket and Louvard Game - will run from April 12-14 in Charleroi, Belgium, where eight teams will duke it out for their share of a prize pool in the region of $113,000.

What do you mean? Streamers can still promote organisation and their sponsors. Shroud was a streamer for C9 as an example. Not sure if he still is though. Also it's possible VP already had something regarding streaming in his current contract considering how popular he was.

Well, I remember s0m streaming under coL, though many people avoid that if you think, maybe because shroud, s0m gets a lot of money. Probably they want a % too, so they get much money than what the organization give them

It is possible C9 took a % from shroud since I'm pretty sure donations went to C9 first. But comparing s0m and pasha is kind of silly considering: pasha has far larger viewerbase than s0m; pasha has never full time streamed and still managed big numbers. s0m is already a streamer with no outside fanbase so his growth potential is a lot smaller; pasha is potentially towards the end of his career which means he could simply remain benched and bleed VP for money if he get a really bad deal. S0m doesn't have this luxury if he wants to play.
