MVP PK, GOSU record wins at Asia Minor

South Korean duo MVP PK and GOSU have progressed to Group B's winners' match at the Asia Minor after posting victories over Beyond and ViCi, respectively.

The second main stream match of the day began at a frantic pace, with MVP PK winning the pistol round but losing the next one. Beyond used that momentum to carve out a 3-1 lead, but they looked well off the pace for the rest of the half as the South Koreans bagged a five-round lead before switching to the CT side.

After the break, the Thai side kept their hopes alive by taking the pistol round following a trio of kills by Peeratch "⁠Olivia⁠" Ingkudanonda, who was a driving force for his team, throughout the match. However, their efforts would be in vain as MVP PK were in control in gun rounds, eventually locking down the map in the 24th round following a quad kill by Min-Seok "⁠zeff⁠" Park

Over on the secondary stream, viewers were treated to a dominant defensive display by GOSU, who strolled to a 12-3 lead on the CT side, with Hae-Sung "⁠HSK⁠" Kim and Gi-Seok "⁠SeokE⁠" Kim raising eyebrows with 36 frags between them.

A trio of headshots by WingHei "⁠Freeman⁠" Cheung in the second-half pistol put ViCi back in the game, with the Chinese side following that up with two more rounds. After buying up, GOSU took control of proceedings, hitting match point at 15-7, but then they surprisingly struggled to break through the ViCi defense, only putting the game to bed in the 28th round as overtime loomed.
