BIG move past compLexity in Atlanta

BIG have booked passage to the upper bracket final at the ELEAGUE CS:GO Invitational after defeating Complexity 2-0 on Ismailcan "⁠XANTARES⁠" Dörtkardeş' debut for the team.

A triple-kill from BIG's newest recruit set the team up for a dream start on Overpass as they cruised to an 8-1 lead on the Terrorist side. Things were starting to look ugly for Complexity, but Ricardo "⁠Rickeh⁠" Mulholland came to the team's rescue with a triple kill, followed by a timely flank in the next round. With those two rounds, the Australian handed his team a route back into the game, with the half ending with a 9-6 scoreline.

Now playing on the CT side, BIG started the second half the livelier of the two sides, setting up a very tight defense to increase their lead to six rounds. Complexity looked devoid of ideas, but they found a lifeline as Shahzeb "⁠ShahZaM⁠" Khan pulled off a quad kill with a Desert Eagle.

That round breathed new life into Complexity's players. The North Americans kept pressing on in search of a miraculous comeback, but BIG were able to withstand the late onslaught, hitting map point in the 26th round and putting the game to bed three rounds later.

Cache, the map that followed, began with a stunning 1v4 clutch by Peter "⁠stanislaw⁠" Jarguz. That marked the beginning of a good start by Complexity, who jumped out to a 5-0 lead, but things soured for the North Americans after losing an anti-eco due to indecisiveness. BIG took control of proceedings after that and kept the home side off the scoreboard, closing out the half with a dominant 10-5 lead.

Owen "⁠smooya⁠" Butterfield went huge in the second half pistol with a quad kill after a timely flank in mid. That was the start of a dominant run from the German side, who brought the scoreline to 14-5. Complexity then got their first round on the board, but they were immediately reset following another quad kill by smooya, leaving them with no money in the bag to prevent defeat in their first match in Atlanta.
