Boombl4 to replace flamie at WESG World Finals

Kirill "⁠Boombl4⁠" Mikhailov will replace Egor "⁠flamie⁠" Vasilyev in the Russia line-up presented for the WESG 2018 World Finals, the Winstrike player has revealed.

The 20-year-old broke the news in an interview with GameInside.ua, adding that it is "a dream" of his to represent his country at the event in China.

The announcement came with little surprise as Russia captain Denis "⁠seized⁠" Kostin had revealed in an interview with HLTV.org that the team would not be able to field flamie or Denis "⁠electroNic⁠" Sharipov at the event due to Natus Vincere's saturated schedule.

Boombl4 will be representing Russia at the WESG 2018 World Finals

Boombl4 is coming fresh out of qualification for the New Challengers stage of IEM Katowice with Winstrike. After finishing in third place at the CIS Minor, the team bested Envy and ViCi in best-of-one series at the Minor-Play, booking one of the final two places at the next Major.

With this adjustment, Russia will be represented by the following quintet at the WESG Finals from March 11-17:
