Become beta tester for the weekend

We are happy to announce, that via HLTV.org, you can now become exclusive beta tester on a new project, which will be tested this weekend.

So what will you be testing? LUOP Entertainment, a brand new Pay-Per-Frag provider, is looking for Scandinavian beta testers for their Counter-Strike 1.6 Pay-Per-Frag system, where you can play against other Counter-Strike 1.6 players for REAL MONEY – REAL TIME.

If you are interested you will be testing the LUOP Entertainment Network for three hours on Sunday 19th 2009 from 18:00 to 21:00 CET. Among the things you will test are the sign-up system, the server system, and deposit options, giving feedback on the website structure, usability and much more, to help LUOP launch the best possible system.

As thanks LUOP Entertainment will credit all accepted beta testers (Min. 18 years old) with a free 10 Euro gaming account that you can use one on a designated Pay-Per-Frag network site, when they launch at August 7th 2009.

Requirements to become a beta tester:

Location: You have to come from Denmark, Sweden, Norway or Finland
Time: Must be able to spend 3 hours Sunday 19th August from 18:00 - 21:00 CET
Software: Operating system: XP/Vista (There might be issues for some Vista users) and have.NET Framework version 3.5 SP1 installed

Scandinavia only consists of Norway, Sweden and Denmark. Iceland and Finland aren't really a part of Scandinavia. They rot me out! :P

You're right, from the beginning what you called Scandinavia was Norway, Sweden and Denmark(when Finland were a part of Sweden) though nowadays Finland is usually a part of Scandinavia.

Actually Denmark isnt geographically part of Scandinavia. I'm just saing that when we talk about Scandinavian countries we usually mean the nordic countries, i.e. Island, Norway, Denmark, Sweden and Finland. That is because in english the words are synonymes. It doesn't need to be so exact, does it?

Hmm. I find it kinda strange that Denmark is allowed to do this. I thought playing for money was against our laws or something, since you're not allowed to do it in World of Warcraft. For those who has experience with WoW. Danish players can't Recruit a Friend nor play in the WoW Tournaments because the Blizzard crew says it's against "our laws". Edit: Before you start to flame me; I'm not really sure in my case here, but that's what I've seen Blizzard CMs write on their forum.

I am pretty sure that it due to the fact that WoW is not a skill game, it is more like poker regulation wise as there is a certain amount of skill and a certain amount of luck and if you take Counter-Strike deathmatch servers all are equal, so there is no luck factor in the same sense, hense that then it is legal in Denmark, at least according to Wikipedia :D

We aren't allowed to get things for free like recruit a friend would give you, and we can't see south park for free on their site either for same reason. Here you would work for it so i guess it's why we are allowed to beta test for 'em and get the price ;)

this does not look like a good idea to me......it is good to see teams n players playing big tourneys and earning big money....but this looks a bit over the top....it'll make the sport too much competitive...but i guess money is a major motivation in the game

LOL. I can't even think about anything more stupid than this. Public servers for money ? For FRAGS ?! Huahahahaahhaahha... they aren't serious, are they ? Well, I've seen some attempts like this in UA. Epic fail. I guess the guys don't even realise what will the game turn into, if there is no longer any team goal - just to make frags. LOL again... Well, but of course they don't care about the game and how stupid it will be, they just want to make some money. Anything goes if it's crisis, eh ? Pfff..

I must say I'm disappointed. I sent a mail and got 3 mail spamed at me after a day or two. I gave it a try anyway and registred. Couldn't even see the numbers I picked like yy/mm/dd. The client kept crashing (using XP) and I have to deposit cash to BETA TEST? Never going there again, that's for sure. Oh and I forgot, my last name which includes an 'ö' wasn't a real name because it didn't consist of letters!

Dear sir, first of i am happy that you signed and wanted to test the product, but i didnt see you on IRC, so I couldnt help you out with those small problems. The things you are mentioning, is the things we wanted to be tested so its fairly natural that the system have bugs at this point on. And of course you are not paying to participate, its is purely dummy money, i am sorry for not pointing this out more carefully, but I took it for granted that user could understand that. For future reference, it would be great when you sign up for a beta test, that you actually mail back to us about the issues you exeprience, instead of posting it in a forum, that way we can help you out better.

I didn't say i consider island as a part of scandinavia. I said it is one of the Nordic countries, and that in english the words scandinavia and nordic countries are synonymes. How come its always u who i have these long re-replies with? :D
