GameGune 2009 preview

Another edition of the GameGune tournament is just around the corner, and HLTV.org will bring you all the action!

Just like in previous years, Bilbao, the largest city in the Basque Country, plays host to the GameGune event, one of this summer's hottest tournaments.

A total of 32 teams from all over the world will gather at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre (BEC), where they will be playing for a total prize purse of €22,500, distributed the following way:

1. - €12,000
2. - €6,000
3. - €3,000
4. - €1,500

Last year's champions, Made in Brazil, will surprisingly not have the chance to defend their title in Bilbao. From the 32 teams confirmed at the event, only two do not come from Europe - XIX from Venezuela and TitaNs eSports from Singapore.

GameGune will begin with a four-team group stage, followed by a double-elimination best-of-one knockout phase.

As always, you will be able to bet on your favourite games using XLBet, who will be providing betting markets for the whole tournament. You will be able to bet not only on individual matches but also on who you think that is going to win the tournament, for example.

XLBet rates WICKED as favourites to win the tournament at 3.20, closely followed by German duo mousesports and Team Alternate, both 3.60 to lift the trophy. It's 10.00 for Millenium, Crack Clan and DTS.chatrix all to win and 14.00 for Virtus.pro to win.
