Romanian side unreality have joined the list of absentees for GameGune 2009 due to financial motives.

There had been rumours that unreality would not be in attendance because of not being able to gather the necessary funds to travel to Spain.

GameGune chiefs have now confirmed to HLTV.org that the Romanian team will not be on show, this being the second dropout in Group C after PGS announced they could not travel to the event.

The group is now composed of just three teams - Team Alternate, TitaNs eSports and Phantoms. As HLTV.org indicated on Monday, GameGune have a number of Spanish teams who will be at Euskal ready to play the event if necessary.

+1 spanish team probably =/ hope for lemondogs :x

Don't think so. Doesn't even matter. 1st would be okay I would say, but someone 3rd-5th is really silly to invite from country like that.

the romans are wise. They know their chances in the group stage. IMO, the registration should be closed by now.. Absenteeism is common in WCG. It's a lockdown going for a final countdown!

They announce gamegune staff that they will not attend the event since 10 days ago because when the sponsor was contacted he said that he can`t support the costs of the plain tickets anymore due to some unknown reasons, sad for unreality anyway.

spain is big? its not easy to travel places if its on the other side of the country or something like that not cheap :/ especially for a team i havent heard of and that barely have any sponsors if any at all.
