stavn joins Heroic on trial

The 16-year-old Martin "⁠stavn⁠" Lund has joined HEROIC on a trial basis, completing the roster.

stavn made a name for himself under Fragsters, impressing online and at smaller LANs despite his very young age. In 2018, his team attended three DreamHack Open events, Bets.net Masters, and reached the playoffs at StarSeries i-League S6.

stavn will get an opportunity to impress in Heroic

Now, after parting ways with Asger "⁠AcilioN⁠" Larsen and using Filip "⁠NEO⁠" Kubski as a stand-in, HEROIC have revealed that they will be adding the young Danish talent stavn on trial. The 16-year-old will, therefore, be leaving ex-Fragsters, who are now down to just two members from their 2018 lineup.

In the statement about move, stavn said the following:

"I'm super excited to get this opportunity with Heroic, especially this early in my career. I look forward to representing them in multiple tournaments moving forward, and becoming a member of the Heroic family." - stavn

HEROIC's coach, Luis "⁠peacemaker⁠" Tadeu revealed that this move was possible because Benjamin "⁠blameF⁠" Bremer took on the IGL role:

"We’ve been keeping an eye on stavn for quite some time, and I'm really glad we get to trial him for this period, as we are making some changes to the roles in our team. We recently moved blameF to the IGL role, and a player like Martin is exactly what we need right now. What I see in stavn is a young talent with a bright future, and I'm happy he gets to start out here." - peacemaker

stavn will kick off his stint in HEROIC at Copenhagen Games and also attend the ESL Pro League group stage with the Danish squad.
