vice joins Cloud9 on trial

Cloud9 have completed their roster with the addition of former Rogue player Daniel "⁠vice⁠" Kim, who will be trying out for the team.

The 23-year-old fills the vacant spot left in Cloud9's roster following the departure of Robin "⁠flusha⁠" Rönnquist and Jordan "⁠Zellsis⁠" Montemurro, who tried out for the team in the first two months of 2019 before being relieved of his duties at the beginning of March.

vice's move to one of North America's fan favorites comes in the aftermath of the dissolution of Rogue, whose lineup was torn apart with most of the individual players receiving offers from other teams.

vice's first event as part of Cloud9 will be BLAST Pro Series Miami in mid-April

The American will play his last event with Rogue at StarSeries i-League Season 7, which will end on April 7, less than a week before his offline debut with Cloud9 at BLAST Pro Series Miami, taking place on April 12-13.

With the addition of vice, Cloud9 are looking to stabilize their roster following a string of roster changes dating all the way back to March 2018. Since then, the team haven't remained intact for longer than two months as they struggled for consistent results and faced unforeseen circumstances such as Maikil "⁠Golden⁠" Selim being sidelined by an illness towards the end of last year.

I disagree. Vice was pretty bad a couple of years ago. He was a step above most premier players, but he struggled a lot in low tier pro league. On Rogue, he grew a ton as a player. The roster had players that historically had better stats than vice, but for almost a year, vice was consistently one of their best performers. He's not as skilled as sick, but i think he has the work ethic and talent to get to a point where hes one of the best in NA

I was watching both Rogue (cause of vice) and C9 (obviously) games and I'm pretty sure vice is more consistant even though Zellsis may be better in clutch situations. I'd take consistancy over some clutches I guess

Anyway, they are really taking risks, trying to push young/new talent which I think should be done more often by teams.

Tim had already shown he could play well against top teams when he got picked up. Vice is a bit more questionable, but he's been decent in recent months against better competition than Zellsis so it could work out.

Rouge may be dead but the spirit lives on. Vice should have gone to complexity and sick to C9. The top two members found good homes and that's a great thing. Now, Vice isn't horrible. He's actually a really good IGL)Fragger. He's always rose with the talent around him so RUSH, Auti, and Kio should be fine. Solid move and should work out very well.
