FalleN: "This tournament was kind of a wake-up call for us"
We caught up with Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo in the mixed zone for a brief comment on MIBR's disappointing run at BLAST Pro Series São Paulo.
Exiting the tournament without a single map win, MIBR left the fans in the packed Ginásio do Ibirapuera arena heartbroken, still waiting for FalleN and co. to lift a big international trophy on Brazilian soil.

Losses to ENCE and FaZe on the opening day left them with the slightest chance of making the grand final going into day two, but a defeat to Astralis ended heir hopes. MIBR then suffered a mauling by Liquid, 16-2 on Dust2, before putting up a decent fight against Ninjas in Pyjamas, 16-13.
In our short interview with the in-game leader of MIBR, we touched on the shocking result and asked if there are any regrets or things that could've been done differently.
"Regrets? I wouldn't say, this tournament was kind of a wake-up call for us, we need to look how we approach the game, clearly it is not working the way we wanted and we just have to keep our heads high and be thankful for the crowd. They rallied for us until the end, even if it didn't matter anymore, the results didn't matter and they were still cheering a lot for us.
"That means a lot to us, players, because we practice a lot, we try to do the best we can every time, but sometimes there are just better teams and that is the fact right now. The teams that were here they just played better CS than us. We will continue to improve, try to analyze our opponents a little bit and how we can update our game, because we need to do something to get better."
Taking into account what Marcelo "coldzera" David said in our media-day interview, that the team has isolated themselves from friends and relatives here in Brazil to focus as much as possible on CS, we inquired about what FalleN thinks could be worked on and improved.
"Our practice lately has been a little bit weak because we played here in South America and the meta is a little bit different to the one we are used to playing, on this level. But that is not an excuse. I don't have the solutions yet, otherwise, I would have used them here at BLAST, right? We still need to figure it out, make some analysis with the team, with zews, try to understand what we can do differently to get more confident and do better."
