Valiance beat Windigo to win UML Finals

Valiance won the first season of the United Masters League after beating Windigo 2-1 in the grand final, in Osnabrück.

The Esport Factory played host over the weekend to the offline finals of the inaugural UML season, featuring the top four sides of the regular stage, who were placed in a single-elimination, best-of-three bracket.

In the semi-final stage, Windigo dispatched Sprout in three maps with great individual performances from star duo Georgi "SHiPZ" Grigorov and Valentin "poizon" Vasilev, while Valiance made light work of GamerLegion, who looked way off the pace as they picked up just 12 rounds total in this one-sided series.

Valiance win the European league and the $50,000 prize

Nemanja "nexa" Isaković had an incredible performance on Mirage, the first map of the final, racking up 30 kills to help Valiance take the lead in the series following an impressive seven-round streak on the CT side. The 21-year-old also led the charge for his team on Dust2, but it was Windigo who prevailed in the end with a fine all-round performance in a back-and-forth game.

The series then landed on Train, where Windigo were able to recover from a 0-4 start to bring the deficit to just one round before the end of the half. At first, it looked like this was going to be another highly-contested map, but Valiance's defence was too strong to break, leading to a quick conclusion to the match in the second half.

its still practice + without any LANs its hard to rise in the rankings. this was their second LAN with full lineup (first being EU Minor in January). if they do well in dreamhack open rio and get more invites maybe they wont need to play UML again

I am sure that sooner or later Hunter will join his cousin. I hope that Nexa and Espi will get their chance to prove themselves too!

-Ottond +poizon I'm sometimes tempted to say Zywoo to Valiance, but while nexa & hunter certainly belong at the top level, not sure if letni can be a caller for a top team.

EZ 4 NEXA, for me the best and most complete player in this roster, people just don't realize how valuable he is for this team since he doesn't have flashy positions people here on hltv obviously have hard time to notice that, it is hard indeed especially when you only value certain things when you look at CS...
