Cloud9 release kioShiMa

Cloud9 have dispensed with the services of Fabien "⁠kioShiMa⁠" Fiey, the North American organisation has announced.

The French player leaves Cloud9 less than six months into his adventure overseas, having been recruited in November after acting as a stand-in for the team at BLAST Pro Series Copenhagen.

kioShiMa is out of Cloud9

A two-time Major champion, kioShiMa averaged a 1.06 rating at the six LAN events that he attended with Cloud9, helping the team to reach the final at the ELEAGUE CS:GO Invitational and to finish 9th-11th at the IEM Katowice Major.

"I really appreciate Cloud9 giving me the opportunity to play professional CSGO again," kioShiMa told Cloud9's website.

"I'm looking forward to what's next for me in my career and I wish Cloud9 the best."

With this decision, Cloud9 no longer have the majority of the line-up with which they attended the Major after previously parting ways with Robin "⁠flusha⁠" Rönnquist and Jordan "⁠Zellsis⁠" Montemurro. The latter had initially been listed as a team coach for the event but was moved into the line-up as Maikil "⁠Golden⁠" Selim could not take part in the tournament due to medical reasons.

Daniel "⁠vice⁠" Kim, formerly of Rogue, is currently on trial with the team, who will make their next appearance only next week, at BLAST Pro Series Miami, kicking off April 12.

With kioShiMa's departure, Cloud9 now have:
