Cloud9 turn to cajunb for BLAST Pro Series Miami - Report

Cloud9 are looking to field former OpTic member René "⁠cajunb⁠" Borg at BLAST Pro Series Miami, according to a report from 1pv.fr.

The 29-year-old is eyed as a replacement for Fabien "⁠kioShiMa⁠" Fiey, who was released from his contract on Sunday after little over five months under the organisation.

According to a recent report from Dexerto, cajunb and Cloud9 have held talks in recent days over a permanent deal for the Danish player, who is a free agent following the expiry of his contract with OpTic at the end of March. He spent little over a year with that team, making his final appearance at the WESG World Finals, where the Danes finished 5th-8th.

cajunb looks set to attend BLAST Pro Series with C9

BLAST Pro Series Miami will take place on April 12-13 at the Watsco Center, with six teams vying for the top prize of $125,000. Cloud9 are looking to attend the event with the following line-up:

Well obviously you and i have different interests. I think it's more fun to see NA have success, than C9 as an org. I enjoy watching cs and having a team be successful From a specific region that isn't particularly great. C9 has been prolific in that sense. However, now they are doing away with that attraction for me. I would like to see teams like TL or NRG succeed. Much more than a team like C9 that has integrated talent from over seas.

NA can and is having success without C9 being fully NA, it just opens up players to player on other NA rosters. If you like NA players then be a fan of the teams that sign and stick to NA players, I don't get the attachment to the org. LDLC was prolific in the French scene but 95% of the people that like French CS like G2 and Vitality.

I just told you i'm not attached to the org anymore, and enjoy NRG, and TL more. are you missing something? I literally said I'm not a fan of C9 anymore because they are outsourcing.... I'm saying i want NA to have success with NA players. that's what i enjoy. NA is notorious for being the underdog. I like to see the underdog work hard and get better. I don't like to see the underdog take resources from the other regions to compete with those regions. That's not Enjoyable to me. I do think it's fair. There's a lot of factors you're basically ignoring when you say that the higher skilled player should get the job over someone else. For example, Cloud 9 was on the verge of picking up Infinite, who was a hot prospect and definitely more skilled, but they decided not to pick him up because of his racist remarks being revealed during that time.

RUSH won a major entry fragging and his skill hasnt decayed, he still a solid roleplayer. Golden is a decent pretty aggressive fragger for an IGL and cajun was literally the only decent thing about optic besides games where k0nfig would just take over but they have become very rare.

What I mean by that is that they seem to be picking up players that was recently kicked from their previous teams and was considered top players and at the peak of their careers many years ago - together with affordable younglings and dark horses that never seem to stay on the team for more than a couple of tournaments at most before they get kicked. It's not a coincidence that they swap players like they swap underwear, they're clearly having trouble finding the right players.

R.I.P.and he is rumored to be coming back Tarik wanted fns kicked so he could IGL again and then snaked them. There have been quite extenuating circumstances to the situation. If you think you can build a top team around players like Zelssis, Slemmy, STYKO, kioShiMa and FNS there's clearly something missing. Zellsis? 2nd option infinite was exposed but is mechanically one of the best up and coming players. Slemmy was a last minute trial because he was previously in the org. FNS didnt get a proper shot due to tarik. You're clearly underrating kioshima dude is a major winner and played some great CS for them. And styko is a great support player and also played decent. He did so much for mouz in terms of comms and organization and is an excellent teammate. This is literally the first time golden has been back, they were clearly waiting for him as seen by the fact that they didnt trial any real IGLs. People keep saying c9 needs to."build up" but that's exactly what they're trying to do with golden. Please tell me who you would of/would like for them to give a trial to.

Cajunb is most likely going to be a disaster as well. He's just been kicked (like pretty much all the other players from Europe that cloud9 has targeted) and has a history of being lazy and unmotivated. Had his prime years ago.

Saying it at every BLAST tournament but its so bullshit that they keep on giving the same invite at every tournament, especially when you see MIBR being dogshit all year and still getting invited/ c9 never having a viable lineup or faze just being bad and washed up not to mention that trash format that make this tournament irelevant when it could be so much better

Ik the shuffles have been happening sense stewies departure, however I feel as this may be one of their better lineups and they took some risk. I feel if they do good this tournament Cajunb might stay.

Not really when they were good in the major for example he was easily the worst player on C9 in that major they won, after that they were god awful and he was baiting for stats, they weren't winning so it's obvious him being alive last every round and them consistently losing he was baiting for stats and other players in the team were having more impact.

This is him since then hltv.org/stats/players/8735/autimatic?st.. hltv.org/stats/teams/players/5752/Cloud9.. Kio was better at like 1 event where he had a 1.15 rating and it was hardly a big event. Not saying kio didnt have good performances, but Auti has and still is their best performer and even went through a demanding role swap and still maintained form.

Just look at the stats you posted they clearly show he's baiting for stats, Tarik has almost half his K/D and his rating is 0.06 higher, less frags, higher impact read my first comment again before even replying to me with shit that proves exactly what I said. Also go rewatch the demos of the major they won and then stfu, all the biggest impact plays throughout that major were not by Auti EVER, it was all Ska, Tarik & Stewie.

Tarik has a higher rating because he won a higher ratio of maps. Notice tim has over 100 more maps than him. Also account for the fact that tim is a passive, cerebral, clutch player, not an aggressive player, he is naturally going to have less deaths because he is not entrying like tarik. Yes stewie and Ska had impact plays, that is their job they are aggressive riflers and AWPers, tim is a consistent rock of a player who makes the correct play, not the flashly one. He played well and had great decision making, me rewatching the demo isnt going to tell me that autimatic played bad, and you're quite delusional if you think he did. Also the fact that you think you can tell if someone is baiting or not purely through stat anomalies is hilarious. And the fact that you think "baiting" is even a valid argument is even more pathetic. Tim had both the highest k/d and rating throughout that period so either you're telling me -not dying is bad or -lower rating is better than higher rating either way your argument is based in pure delusion.

You didnt even name a player that was better than him on C9 yet continue to say that hes not that best, that reeks of ignorance. Hes been the highest rated player on C9 for over a year and also has the highest impact rating on the team due to multikills and clutches. None of the players C9 have cycled through are better than autimaitc, otherwise theyd be doing well o other relevant teams or C9 would have contracted them.
