ngiN to play for ex-Space Soldiers in ESL Pro League Europe

ex-Space Soldiers will compete in the regular season of ESL Pro League Europe with Engin "⁠ngiN⁠" Kor as their last player, HLTV.org has learned.

The 25-year-old will fill the vacant spot left by in-game leader Engin "⁠MAJ3R⁠" Küpeli, who returned to France to pursue his career in LDLC after over two years with the Turkish side.

ngiN had stepped down from ex-Space Soldiers at the beginning of the year in the aftermath of a disappointing run at the Europe Minor, where defeats to ENCE and North spelled the end of the road for the team in the group stage.

ngiN will step in for his former team in Leicester

That was the last tournament on record for ngiN, who, during the three years that he spent with the team, attended ELEAGUE Major Boston - team coach Canpolat "⁠hardstyle⁠" Yıldıran replaced him at the FACEIT Major due to visa issues - and picked up title wins at the ESEA Season 25 Global Challenge, the Europe Minor leading to Boston and DreamHack Open Austin 2018.

ex-Space Soldiers have been drawn in Group A of ESL Pro League Europe, along with MOUZ, North and OpTic. In their first match in Leicester, the team will be taking on Finn "⁠karrigan⁠" Andersen's troops, who have Turkish star Özgür "⁠woxic⁠" Eker in their ranks.

This means that ex-Space Soldiers will attend the event with:

Iirc it was like this: calyx and woxic promised each other to not leave for any other team when they played together in DarkPassage. woxic got an offer from SS but rejected it to stay loyal and then Calyx got the same offer but he took it. So I 100% understand woxic

I remember a twitlonger from one of the SS guys(I believe Majerr) where he said that they had to drive all in ine car to Russia to play a qualifier for some tournament. Doesn't sound too luxurious to me. Btw, most orgs collect the prize money from events and distribute it to the players afterwards, maybe the players never got the money or only a small part of it

They did go to Prag, they went here with car because they needed their PC's and they took their pcs to car. Its not allowed in airplane probably. And also after that bootcamp xantares' girlfriend was in Germany and he wanted to go ngiN's home for 3-4 days so he can also spend time with his gf. But ngin didnt want him come to his home and said there is no place. Then xantares didnt want to play with him anymore and thats the reason why he left ss. Just wanted to say that idk how i come to xantares' leave part xD

Weird stuff, I don't understand why no org wants them. They work hard, were getting some stuff done with qualifying events, they hold an EPL spot and are probably fairly cheap to sign in terms of salary. But politics are rough, them being Turkish is a problem it seems

I dont understand why people talking shit about the org, when they signed this players they had nothing and they trusted them to make good results for the scene. Space Soldiers is the org who had no sponsor etc. Its created by a person. Players wanted more money but you should understand the org when you live in Turkey as well. So both sides have their reasons about that and both side are right. Well after that nothing did happened good unlucky for us
