Luminosity replace Rogue in ESL Pro League Americas
Luminosity will fill the vacant spot left by Rogue in the first stage of ESL Pro League Americas, it has been announced.
The North American team had pulled out of the league after parting ways with their roster, leaving ESL on the lookout for a replacement.
Luminosity are the highest-ranked team in North America in ESL World Ranking who are not already in the Pro League, which, coupled with the fact that they "have proven to be a stable roster over the past months", made the Brazilians "the strongest candidate" to complete the team list for the tournament, according to ESL.

In a follow-up tweet, ESL explained that ESEA MDL champions FURIA were the first in line to replace Rogue but declined the invite due to a scheduling conflict.
Lucas "steel" Lopes' side had been relegated to ESEA MDL after finishing last in ESL Pro League Season 8's North American division, with a 6-16 record. They will take Rogue's spot in Group C, in which they will face MIBR, Cloud9 and Envy, from April 19-21.
This means that Luminosity will have to pull out of DreamHack Open Rio as the team's Pro League group will overlap with the Brazilian event, where $100,000 will be on the line.
The ESL Pro League Americas will be the second LAN event of the year for Luminosity, who placed 7th-8th at iBUYPOWER Masters with Fillipe "pancc" Martins acting as a stand-in for Ricardo "boltz" Prass.
