CIS Minor closed qualifier invites unveiled

StarLadder has revealed the invited teams for the CIS Minor closed qualifier.

Taking place from June 8-10, the closed qualifier will feature a total of 16 sides, who will duke it out for eight slots at the $50,000 Minor. Eight participants will be admitted via four preceding open qualifiers, taking place from May 24 to June 3, while the remaining eight contestants have received direct invites.

Among the invited teams are Winstrike, Vega Squadron and Spirit, all seasoned sides who crashed out of IEM Katowice in the New Challengers Stage.

Copenhagen Games champions FORZE, and Syman are also widely expected to finish in the top eight in the qualifier. As for less experienced participants, Gambit Youngsters will tackle their first Minor closed qualifier after receiving an invite over the organisation's main team.

problem is that teams from asian qualifier almost never make it to the main stage, thats why there are always 2 teams that deserve to go through asian quals. CIS qualifier teams are more likely to go through than the ones from Asia quals
