Schedule, format for cs_summit 4 announced

The organizers of cs_summit 4 have announced the schedule and format of the $150,000 event.

The tournament is set to take place at the Summit House in Los Angeles, California where six teams will fight it out on May 23-26 for their share of the $150,000 prize pool.

The group stage, which will be held in the first three days, will have a round-robin format and all teams will play one another twice. These group stage matches will not be best-of-twos and each map will be regarded as a separate match.

Liquid will take on Ghost in their first game

Liquid and ENCE, who are respectively the No. 2 and No. 3 teams in the World Ranking, are set to face off in the second day of the event.

The top four teams from the group stage will move on to the single-elimination, best-of-three playoffs which will be held on Sunday.

If they decide to give 3 points per win, then yes. I would guess, though, that there is no chance to draw - in that case it may just as well be 1 point for winning.

Seeing as there is no detailed explanation of how the scoring will be determined during this tournament, that whole paragraph is pretty irrelevant for the time being. It doesn't actually give you any idea of how these games are going to be different from bo2's. For all we know, the scoring could end up exactly the same as bo2 scoring and they could just be saying "two individual games" because the bo2 format is unpopular and they know that.

Summit is the og "quick fun torunament" though, and 2xbo1 is a lot better than just a bo1. Bo3 still would be better, buuut scheduling and shit...

bo1 x 2 vs each team, actually has semi-finals, so not like it is same as blast at all tho, over 2 times more games played, actually quite robust format all in all for 6 team event like it or not, not that many events there where all teams play at least 10 maps anyway. That said still not ideal format yes but this being 6 team event I am not all that surprised about it.
