FaZe beat Windigo; NiP take out TYLOO in Dallas

FaZe knocked Windigo down to the lower bracket after beatng them on Dust2, 16-7 , while Ninjas in Pyjamas did the same against TYLOO on the same map, 16-13.

FaZe won the pistol round as Håvard "⁠rain⁠" Nygaard and Olof "⁠olofmeister⁠" Kajbjer cleaned house with their USPs on Dust2. Windigo were able to win the third round, then tying it up after a heroic play by Kamen "⁠bubble⁠" Kostadinov in mid with a triple before Valentin "⁠poizon⁠" Vasilev went on to close the round out with two AWP kills. Windigo took a momentary lead, but FaZe quickly regained momentum, going up 6-3, but two kills by Buğra "⁠Calyx⁠" Arkın on the B site kept Windigo in the game as they planted while the European combine called for a save. Predictable play by Windigo, with a lot of grouped up play, eventually cost them, as FaZe were able to take a hefty lead with good reads, closing the half out 11-4.

Windigo were able to win a clean round on A withe USPs, following it up against the forcebuy, but FaZe were able to win with upgraded pistols after breaking out into Long and planting on A. A huge 1vs2 clutch with the AWP by Ladislav "⁠GuardiaN⁠" Kovács on B kept FaZe on track to closing the map out, which they did, 16-7.

TYLOO started out on the CT side of Dust2, winning the pistol round after a quick double by Hansel "⁠BnTeT⁠" Ferdinand. Having won the second round, four AWP kills by YuLun "⁠Summer⁠" Cai in the first gun round kept the Asian team in the lead, which they were able to follow up against an eco. TYLOO kept shooting hard on defense, closing off any attempt by Ninjas in Pyjamas to break into either site. It was finally after taking A on a pistol buy with good shooting by Fredrik "⁠REZ⁠" Sterner with the scout that Ninjas in Pyjamas were able to get in the board, making it 1-6.

TYLOO then won another round, but a huge ace by Patrik "⁠f0rest⁠" Lindberg in the following pushed TYLOO into a pistol buy. That was enough for the Swedes, who were able to start to bring the half back as TYLOO started to get overrun round after round. With 7-7 on the board, TYLOO were finally able to get one back to win the half, albeit just barely.

Ninjas in Pyjamas tied it up by taking the CT side pistol round, and took the lead for the first time in the match against the eco. TYLOO took the first gun round to tie it back up. The match then played out in a pattern that kept it close, as teams traded rounds to 11-11. The Swedes, with the economic advantage, were finally able to take the lead, 13-11, but doubles by BnTeT and Summer on a crucial round kept with within one. With 13-13 on the board, a poor play on Short to A by TYLOO gave Ninjas in Pyjamas a crucial lead late in the map, which ended up with the Swedes closing it out, 16-13.
