ALTERNATE aTTaX win Esportal Global Finals

ALTERNATE aTTaX defeated Lyngby Vikings 3-2 to secure the Esportal Global Finals title in a best-of-five marathon.

ALTERNATE aTTaX and Lyngby Vikings locked down their spot in the grand final after topping the day one round-robin stage, with both sides securing 11 points. DETONA narrowly missed out on progression to the finals with 10 points, while AVEZ ended their tournament run at the bottom of the group with only a single win to their name.

The grand final kicked off with the two sides picking up each other's initial map picks, with Lyngby Vikings decimating ALTERNATE aTTaX on Mirage thanks to a dominate CT showing. The Germans replied on Inferno, however, grinding out the final few rounds of a closely contested map to force overtime, and ultimately take the win.

stfN and co win Esportal Global Finals

With ALTERNATE aTTaX finding their footing in the series, the third map was over in an instant. A strong CT side, followed up by a well-executed offence, secured a quick 16-6 victory on Train for the Germans.

The Danish squad's tenacity surfaced on Dust2 as they refused to let the series slip away. A huge performance from Malthe "Twinx" Jensen powered Lyngby Vikings to success, forcing a fifth and final map.

The deciding map came down to Vertigo and ALTERNATE aTTaX's patience slimmed. The German squad launched into halftime with a 12-3 lead, looking to lock down the series hastily. Lyngby Vikings replied on the Terrorist side with nine rounds of their own, but the deficit proved too large to overcome as Stefan "stfN" Seier and squad closed out the map 16-12, and the series 3-2, to lift the Esportal Global Finals trophy.

I have no idea why he has a UK flag, as he's Polish and I'm pretty sure he only moved to the UK to go to uni.

DETONA actually suck, but they were gonna do nothing is closed qualifiers, they had an easier chance in this but they still suck. INTZ, Sharks, Isurus >>>>>>> DETONA Also they cant play with vSm so they would have 0.01% chance of qualifying anyways

DETONA threw their Minor qualifier spot away in order to play this crap... to lose to freaking Lyngby Vikings and Alternate-aTTaX. I think their CEO or whoever took this decision, should be fired.
