Europe Minor Closed Qualifier bracket and schedule revealed

The bracket has been drawn and schedule set for the Europe Minor Closed Qualifier leading up to the StarLadder Major, with the matches to be played on June 10-12.

A total of sixteen qualified and invited teams will battle through a double-elimination BO3 bracket over the next three days to decide the eight squads that will attend Europe Minor in Berlin.

mousesports will face Virtus.pro in their opening match

The team list for the closed qualifier is as follows:

The closed qualifier matches start on June 10 at 12:00 with the first set of matches, HEROIC - Tricked and CR4ZY (formerly Valiance) - Nordavind. The first four Europe Minor teams will be decided after the two upper-bracket matches, with the remaining four decided through the lower bracket. The bracket layout will be available on the event page shortly.

Yes, tells you something about the competition here. We have 10 spots in total if you count the minor play-in. Imo we just nuke the play-in and give EU 6 spots, CIS 1, Asia 1 and America 2.

there are already 20 bo3 played with double elimination and 1st stage is seeded (idk about others). in katowice closed qualifiers the ones that were supposed to make it did make it hltv.org/events/4125/europe-minor-closed.. maybe i'd put ldlc/heroic over ex-ss. how else would you want it done? round robin in groups of 4 would make it 24 bo3 which is hardly different especially considering that some games for 0-2 teams might not do anything.

ping is not even that much of an issue. and even if it is they can do seperate qualifiers like in americas and asian minors. though if they did 1 qualifier they would need extra round in open quals because it would be 600+ teams

2 wins. all games bo3. 2-0 for 1-4th, 2-1 for 5-8th, 1-2 for 9-12th, 0-2 for 13-16th. first rounds are seeded not sure about others. in katowice qualifiers team who lost 2nd game wasnt put in same lower bracket as 1-1 who lost first games but were originally part of the same bracket. so its not like if 4 teams are in same bracket only 2 of them will make it.
