Moche XL Esports schedule revealed

The organisers of Moche XL Esports have revealed the complete schedule for the $75,000 competition.

The 2019 edition of the Portuguese event will once again be held at the Altice Arena, in Lisbon, with six teams competing in a single-elimination bracket as they vie for the grand prize of $40,000.

As the two top seeds, FURIA and Windigo have secured direct entry into Sunday's semi-finals, leaving the other teams to fight for the remaining spots in the last-four stage.

FURIA headline the team list for Moche XL Esports

BIG and Virtus.pro will open up the action in what will be a rematch of today's Europe Minor closed qualifier clash, with GamerLegion then taking on the winner of Master League Portugal, a tournament featuring some of Portugal's finest teams, including Giants and OFFSET.

Below you can find the complete schedule for the event:

Saturday, June 15:

11:15 - Master League Portugal Final
15:30 - Germany BIG vs. Poland Virtus.pro
19:30 - Europe GamerLegion vs. Portugal MLP winner

Sunday, June 16:

11:15 - Bulgaria Windigo vs. Germany BIG / Poland Virtus.pro
15:30 - Brazil FURIA vs. Europe GamerLegion / Portugal MLP winner
19:30 - Grand final

Time is adjusted to your selected timezone
Should be easy for furia

[English off] Top seeds são os times mais bem classificados de acordo com o critério estabelecido pelos organizadores. Ao que me parece, neste torneio o critério é o ranking da HLTV, FURIA em 5º e Windingo em 19º são os mais bem classificados.

I don't understand this at all. I think all of them was invited rather than going through some qualifier. "The Polish side bring the team count to five as they join GamerLegion, Windigo, BIG and FURIA, who were all previously invited to the tournament." So they pick two team randomly (rankings?) who go directly into the SF.

It's the second year of the tournament, the investors are still testing the fans reaction as it is something new to Portugal. We're used to have small pt lan tournaments but nothing like this. The first step is to make a name for themselves, one weekend prepared with the best cs go infrastructures, multiple social games, etc, to make it bigger than just cs. After this is accomplished, and if everything goes well, they'll probably make it a 100K event, with a mix of invitations and online qualifications (not only portuguese).

It's great with more lans, especially in countries that don't have many big CS-tournaments, i just think the format is stupid that two of the teams are coming into the SF directly while the other 4 have to battle it out for their SF slots.

They probably could not afford 8 teams, because a group stage with 8 teams, semi finals, and final would need at least 4 days of event. For smaller event organizers, this would crank up the cost a lot. I don't like the format either, but I get what they are doing and suport it.

100% sure that Giants will win MLP and then Moche XL. It's LAN, none of that teams are good enough for Giants in LAN. Don't forget, Giants online = tier 5 team or worst (due to ping issue too), but Giants on LAN = tier 2 team at least. Remember that Giants last tier1 event had difficult only against Na'Vi and Astralis in one of the sides of Nuke, their best map at the moment best team in the world. C9, Ence and NIP was 1 ez win and 2 16-14 games, one of them, right after a bo3 with more than 80 rounds played.
