poizon leads Windigo to dominant Moche XL victory over GamerLegion

Windigo have emerged victorious from a dominant grand final affair against GamerLegion (2-0; Train 16-3, Dust2 16-8) on the back of an immaculate performance from Valentin "poizon" Vasilev.

Windigo chose Train for the opening map of the Moche XL grand final and began to take control after poizon gave them the pistol round with a 1v1 clutch. Opting for a couple of B attacks early on, the Bulgarians extended their advantage, with the 20-year-old adding another clutch to his name along the way.

GamerLegion struggled to find footing on the defense, securing only three rounds in the first half, all on the back of Kévin "Ex6TenZ" Droolans's individual play, which saw the Belgian step up to the plate with a 1v2 clutch and two AWP triples. Windigo went on to lock down the half 12-3 and took little time to seal the first map once they switched to the defense, securing four in a row.

poizon led the charge on both maps of the grand final

The Bulgarian side looked to gain another early advantage on Dust2 when poizon gave them the pistol round with a triple on long, but this time, GamerLegion responded in the second round to go on a streak.

Nonetheless, Windigo put together a great defense on the back of more multikills from poizon and his AWP, which helped them rack up nine rounds in total, while Kevin "HS" Tarn stood out on the other side, locking down two big rounds for his team.

The Estonian continued great form with four kills in the pistol round, but his effort was all for naught. Windigo responded immediately in the second round and broke their opponents' economy when Viktor "v1c7oR" Dyankov put up a quad-kill including a smart 1v1 clutch, and they used the advantage to rally to a dominant 16-8, 2-0 victory.

LMAO FURIA lost to this... win bo3's vs Astralis, fnatic, Vitality and North just to lost to GamersLegion, that was raped by Windigo right after. No excuses for this one FURIA, shame on you, better back to the old level in Cologne if not the fluke theorists will begin to gain force.

Well, Furia deserved it. Super cocky pick from them in inferno when this team simply can't play train, got what they deserved. And overall they played sloppy cs, similar to mibr when they won the first major and got fucked playing cache. Maybe they will remember to be modest next.

It was a very demanding trip, we all hoped to see a better performance from Furia, and we're glad that they accepted the invite, but they just weren't ready, the tight agenda, the jet lag.. SK trophy goes to Windigo who performed brilliantly, congrats to them. I hope next year the tournament format changes, with more interesting European qualifications and less invites.

Indeed, barely relevant event with barely relevant teams (apart from FURIA, but they flopped hard). Now that Windigo failed (yet again) to qualify for the major, I wouldn't be suprised if poizon gets poached...

Theres lots of english speaking teams who are struggling with awpers atm. If he is not stupid enough he should totally do the CeRq route otherwise he could end up like mixwell rotting in the tier3 hell.

I like hampus but I don't see how he has a place in this team if Ex6tenZ is the IGL He's a pretty good player but many of his flaws were remedied by the fact that he IGLed so his teams would have a decent aggressive fragger as their leader, now he's in a role that I think HS and ScreaM does better and he's not bringing much else to the table I think he's more needed in the Swedish scene tbh
