Virtus.pro bench OKOLICIOUZ; to try out new players

Virtus.pro have announced they will be using Tomasz "⁠phr⁠" Wójcik as a stand-in and trying out new players this summer to substitute Michal "⁠OKOLICIOUZ⁠" Glowaty, who has been moved to the bench.

OKOLICIOUZ signed with Virtus.pro just two months ago to serve as Paweł "⁠byali⁠" Bieliński's replacement, but was unable to secure a spot in the lineup as he has now been benched.

OKOLICIOUZ is no longer on Virtus.pro's active roster

The Polish-German player, who made his way to Virtus.pro via EURONICS, will be replaced in the short term by phr, who will be standing in for the team in their upcoming matches.

During his time with Virtus.pro, OKOLICIOUZ attended two LAN events, the ESL Polish Championship Spring 2019 Finals and Moche XL, where the Polish team finished in 2nd and 3rd-4th place, respectively.

With the benching of OKOLICIOUZ, Virtus.pro are now:

old vp was struggling but atleast they were considered legends but this team became joke.. they changed team to have better results and now they are 10x worse

Not sure how to feel about this one... Phr is good, however when Okoliciouz came to VP they got back into winning ways and now they're switching a support player into another rifler/entry fragger... I guess we will see how it goes, they are almost in top 30 now and if they think that this change is going to get them further then I think it's good, but if it proves to be wrong, the future of this team is unstable.

It's hard to say it, but if you put togheter all the polish scene there isn't more talent than to make maybe 1 decent Top 20 team. VP can try and make all the roster changes they want, but it won't work. They need to start over from scratch and get into a long term project, get 5 players that can get along nicely and give them a year without making any roster moves. If VP wants to get back at T1 sooner, they would have to look elsewhere than Poland.

I just gave an opinion, didn't say nothing really bad about Poland. Besides, I don't think they are lost. But look to the rankings, look who are the best polish players right now role by role, pick any 5 players you want and think how far they could get. I can think in one squad that maybe could stick around #15, but that's it. You can think otherwise, but there isn't any results, stats or player performances to think a polish team could go any higher than that atm.
