stanislaw: "A common element since I joined is that the CT sides have been pretty rough"
We spoke to Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz after NRG picked up their first win in three matches at BLAST Pro Series.
In a quick interview in between the rounds in Los Angeles, the North American team's new in-game leader spoke about how far along in the process of implementing his own style he is after less than a month with the squad.

We also asked the Canadian to elaborate on his chemistry with Tarik "tarik" Celik, who has been touted as the secondary caller of the team upon stanislaw's joining, and found out where NRG need to improve the most.
When you first joined the team it was a lot of plug-and-play, at what stage are you now in implementing your own style and things you want to do into NRG?
I've already started plugging my style as soon as I joined the team, but like you said, I just needed to first establish what their strengths were, so I just kind of plugged into all of daps' roles and started slowly adding whatever I wanted to do. I think we're already away from whatever daps was calling and as time goes by, we're adding a lot of stuff for each of our maps, but it's kind of hard with the tournament schedule right now to add too much, so we're just keeping it simple for now.
One of the changes that came out of this was tarik being this secondary caller, can you elaborate on that, how it works and what the chemistry is like between you two?
I think the chemistry is really good right now. Any time I don't have an idea or if he sees something, he'll let me know right away, he's very vocal and very good at playing with intuition. And I think that goes for all the players on the team, even the rest of them outside of me and tarik, they're just good at always adapting and reacting quickly. I think that's how you have to play Counter-Strike nowadays because everyone is so skilled and so talented, so it's just about who's making the fewest mistakes and who's reacting the fastest.
Up until your first win now you struggled here in your first matches and even at the end of Cologne you weren't much of a match for Vitality, what do you think have been the biggest struggles or things to improve on?
I think a common element since I joined so far is that the CT sides have been pretty rough. Especially here, we had five rounds on CT Nuke and then against Liquid we got up to seven rounds on T side Overpass, which is pretty good, and then our CT side just fell apart. I think it's a chemistry thing, we just have to find out how each other plays and me plugging into daps, he was doing a lot of things that maybe I'm not doing, so we just have to continue to work hard and make a lot of new setups, we'll figure it out eventually.
