Liquid beat MIBR to go 3-0; Renegades secure first win
Liquid extended their winning record at BLAST Pro Series Los Angeles after taking down MIBR 16-11 on Mirage, while Renegades picked up their first points with a 16-12 Inferno victory,
MIBR opened the action over on the main stream with a perfect B hold, but there was no follow-up as Liquid replied immediately on a force-buy. The North American giants rode that momentum to a 5-1 lead after running all over the Brazilian defense with some fast plays.
Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo's troops then enjoyed a period of supremacy and brought the deficit to two rounds, but it would not last, though. Liquid went on another dominant run and secured the final five rounds of the half to pick up an 11-4 lead.

The home side carried that momentum into the second half and reached match point at 15-4 without having to break a sweat. Nick "nitr0" Cannella's charges eased off the pace after that and gifted MIBR a series of rounds, only putting the one-sided game to bed in the 27th round.

Meanwhile on the secondary stream, Renegades and Cloud9 played out a close Inferno encounter that turned out to be a tale of two halves. The Australian side responded immediately after losing the pistol round andfound gaping hopes in the North American defense to build a 9-1 lead. It was only then that Cloud9 managed to find some breathing room as put that losing streak to an end after winning two rounds in a row, but they still found themselves trailing their opponents 3-12 come the end of the half.

Cloud9 knew they had a mountain to climb to overcome the massive deficit, but they refused to throw in the towel. With Tyson "TenZ" Ngo and Oscar "mixwell" Cañellas leading the charge, the North Americans dominated proceedings for the majority of the half, preventing their opponents from stringing rounds together. They eventually cut the gap to just two rounds before Renegades tightened up their defense and locked down the map by winning two rounds in a row.
