FaZe take down NRG, move on to face Liquid in BLAST Pro Series final
FaZe have yet again beat NRG, this time in a best-of-three matchup to advance to the BLAST Pro Series grand final, with Filip "NEO" Kubski and co. easily winning NRG’s map pick, Train, 16-7 and following it up with a tougher win on their own map pick, Nuke, 16-11.
FaZe started out the first map of the series strong, with both Nikola "NiKo" Kovač and Olof "olofmeister" Kajbjer shutting down their opponents with multiple head-shot kills during the pistol round. They quickly capitalized off of this with aggressive pushes while NRG had just pistols and excellent utility usage to stop any executes the NA side tried while on rifles. With NiKo and Håvard "rain" Nygaard headlining the way for FaZe, they were able to secure themselves a 6-0 lead before NRG won their first round due to an aggressive, forcebuy execute. However, the mixed European side didn't stay caught off-guard for long and continued dismantling NRG, remaining completely unaffected by the lost round as NEO and co. ended the half 14-1.
NRG started out the second half with a glimmer of hope as they managed to secure themselves the pistol round as well as the first rifle round. A comeback seemed to be in the works for Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz and the rest of his troops as they won six rounds in a row. Tarik "tarik" Celik took matters into his own hands and stepped up for his team with aggressive pushes and clutch plays, but it wasn't enough to keep FaZe from reaching map point. NRG’s lackluster T-side during the first half eventually caught up to them and they were unable to win the 15 rounds needed to make a comeback, resulting in a 16-7 victory for FaZe on NRG’s map pick.

The second map, Nuke, was opened up by NRG as they won the pistol round and gained a 2-0 lead. However, FaZe were quick to answer back and tied the game 2-2. With NRG’s economy ruined for the time being, they attacked with full force and not even the CT side's own aggression could keep them out of the bombsites. Just as FaZe reached a four-round lead and began to yet again run away with the first half, NRG answered back. The AWP of Tsvetelin "CeRq" Dimitrov created space for his teammates to retake and hold sites, ultimately leading to a 7-8 half, with NRG just one round behind FaZe.
NRG wasted no time tying the game up by winning the pistol round, but with three quick kills from FaZe, they were unable to convert the following round, yet again giving the lead to the European team. The next few rounds were dominated by the rifle of NiKo, but NRG’s T-side on Nuke was showing a lot more potential than on Train. Several multi-kill rounds from CeRq and Ethan "Ethan" Arnold turned a 9-14 score into an 11-14 one, but it wasn't enough to stop FaZe from reaching map point. It all came down to NRG’s in-game leader, stanislaw, to keep them alive in a 1v2 clutch, but FaZe reigned supreme, resulting in a 16-11 victory and a place in the grand final for NEO's team.
