BLAST Pro Series Los Angeles Fantasy recap

Let's take a look at the Fantasy game for BLAST Pro Series Los Angeles, where Liquid continued their dominant form.

Unlike at ESL One Cologne, where a plethora of teams and players were viable options for users, at BLAST Pro Series LA, the selection was smaller and the favorite was apparent - Liquid. Going the obvious route paid off this time around, but the key was to not overlook Keith "NAF" Markovic, who had an outstanding tournament.

Incorporating multiple Liquid members was crucial for this event

The ideal lineup was a combination of two big-hitters, NAF ($220,000) and Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken ($223,000), with Jake "Stewie2K" Yip ($205,000) being the final piece of the Liquid puzzle. To finish off the lineup, going for two budget picks from Renegades was the best option.

With the best roles, the ideal lineup brought in 924 points:

Canada Keith "NAF" Markovic (Defender): 336 + 56 = 392 pts
Canada Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken (HS): 186 + 63 = 249
United States Jake "Stewie2K" Yip (Leader): 168 + 70 = 238 pts
Australia Jay "Liazz" Tregillgas (Stathunter): 22 + 16 = 38 pts
New Zealand Sean "Gratisfaction" Kaiwai (AWP): -29 + 36 = 7 pts

The highest scoring team in the HLTV Money Draft league was appropriately named "THEBEST", made by user spankeer. He successfully combined Liquid's trio with Renegades' duo, with some good booster and role selection earning him a total of 949 points. Interestingly, the runner up in the league was Marko "kressy" Đorđević, who won the HLTV Fantasy game for IEM Sydney back in May.

HLTV Fantasy League:

1. Brazil spankeer (949)

Outside of the ideal lineup, a number of players had a good tournament and were great picks for Live Draft leagues. Justin "jks" Savage, Nikola "NiKo" Kovač, and Vincent "Brehze" Cayonte made it into the top 10, with the only surprise perhaps being Lucas "LUCAS1" Teles, whose 71 points was the standout for MIBR.

1. Canada Keith "NAF" Markovic: 336 pts
2. Canada Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken: 186 pts
3. United States Jake "Stewie2K" Yip: 168 pts
4. Australia Justin "jks" Savage: 103 pts
5. United States Vincent "Brehze" Cayonte: 100 pts
6. Bosnia and Herzegovina Nikola "NiKo" Kovač: 88 pts
7. United States Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski: 78 pts
8. Brazil Lucas "LUCAS1" Teles: 71 pts
9. Brazil Fernando "fer" Alvarenga: 58 pts
10. Slovakia Ladislav "GuardiaN" Kovács: 51 pts

2018 - Astralis win Dreamhack,EPL,ECS,Eleague - people say NO era, first win major 2019 - Liquid win IEM Sydney with no good teams in there, DreamHack Ok ence was there, EPL, Cologne - Mostly NA fans say ERA. Explain please?

I say Astralis had a era and go back nearly 2 years and avg out teams finishes I guarantee liquid would have the best avg. 2018 2wins and what 8-102nds 2019 6 wins couple 2nds. That’s a crazy good team for 2 years straight.

Ofc Astralis had a era, but if we talk in period of April 2018 - July 2018 when astralis won 4 tournaments, people didn't consider it as an era, mostly was saying "You need to win major to have a era"

Liquid did something no other team did. Went 4 for 4 in the grand slam. They ciuld possible go 8 for 8 with 2 slams and a major. That 100% would be the greatest team EVER.

Like grand slam actually mean something, its just extra money. Major still has the biggest meaning in csgo, if you didn't win any how can you be The Greatest? If Liquid win next major then i can surely say its Liquid era, but now its just a good run, 4 straight tournaments its really impressive but not a era yet.

I don't do any predictions, i just watching. It all depends on themselves, they ofc can win a major but at the same time they can lose it. So let's just wait a major and see how it all goes.

Pls explain, I thought the ideal roles would be the one that net the most points in the end. Are there other boosts for stats then the roles which give points?

hltv.org/news/27208/esl-one-cologne-fant.. permament roles for each player that can give 0/3/10 points. then theres 14 boosters that only work once for 1 player in that match. boosters also give 0/3/10 points depending on success.
